My husband and I stayed here in Nov 2001. It was over Thanksgiving weekend and the hotel was packed with families. This would have been OK but there were kids running up and down the halls and riding the elevators "for fun". We had to constantly wait for an elevator. When we complained to the front desk, they said they would do something, but they didn't. We finally had to get management involved. They just seemed to feel we had no right to peace and quiet.
When we went to the lounge for a drink, again, families were there with young kids. The kids were sitting at the bar and treating the place like a playroom, running all over, yelling and eating the popcorn out of the communal bowl.It was not an appropriate place for kids and when we expressed our displeasure to the hostess, she agreed but said she couldn't do anything. We were supposed to stay another night, but we were so fed up,we checked out the next morning and stayed at the Marriott across the street which was quiet and has a nice restaurant.
I realize that weekend was busy and the kids were out of school but there was no excuse for management ignoring the comfort of some of the guests in favor of a "do whatever you please" atmosphere. Not a good experience.
