Owner description: Part thoroughbred race course, part sales company and considered one of America's most beautiful tracks, Keeneland is known for its well-designed and meticulous landscaping. The grounds consist of the paddock, a prep area where visitors can view horses up-close just before the race and a combination of dirt and turf race tracks.

“Tons of fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Great afternoon of family fun! I would recommend paying the $5 extra for reserved seats. That way you have more options if the weather is bad. If you get there early in the day you can actually get a bench seat up next to the track. You can also bring in your own folding chair that also gives you more seating options. Lots of places to hang out. Beautiful facility!

“A fun time, but extremely crowded w/o very good signs or crowd & traffic control.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

We were there on the 2nd day of their fall season (a Saturday) and it was extremely crowded. The track is beautiful and the horses even more beautiful, so we had a fun time. However, here are some things that could use improvement, in the off chance that someone at Keeneland pays attention to these reviews: traffic signs designating how to exit the massive grassy parking areas, better signs marking restrooms, better signs marking food vendors (I dearly wanted a Mint Julep, but sadly, never found one), better speaker system for the race announcer (we could barely hear him and were practically standing on the track, so had very little idea of when the races had actually started, and last but not least, a MUCH larger and more organized gift shop. I have been to races at Churchill Downs -- which has a much more appropriately sized and organized gift shop to handle large crowds. Overall a fun afternoon though.

“Beautiful Racetrack”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

I was there for opening day of the Fall schedule. This is a beautiful track, lots of history here as well as a clean beautiful racetrack. Lots of food choices and come on, horse racing in the heart of horse country?! How can you go wrong. Well worth the minimal cost of entry!!

“Best Race Track in America”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

I try to visit Keeneland once a year as I am an avid horse racing fan. I have been to some of the biggest tracks in American and there is none nicer than Keeneland. The staff is super friends there is plenty of seating and the facility is always clean. The best trainers and horses in the US are here every April and October. If you want to take your kids to a track and have a great family time then you must stop at Keeneland. Get there early in the morning and head to the track kitchen and eat breakfast with the trainers, walkers and jockeys to get an inside tip on the days races!

“The place to visit to watch the sport of Kings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Keeneland is a gem of a racetrack. A true Kentuckian tradition is to turn out in your coat and tie and your lady dressed to the nines. A track that is user friendly and offers so much for so little to all who enjoy watching the ponies run. Choose between free or paid parking, tailgating, grandstand or the club house. You can bring a crowd and have a great lunch while watching the races. Spring and Fall meets. See the future KY Derby hopefuls trying to make it to the big one or big three.
