“Our dream wedding come true xxx”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Thank you to all at Kob Inn for making our wedding and our stay with friends and family so memorable, so awesome.
We celebrated our nuptials on the beach at Kob Inn on the 12th Dec 2012, and experienced our dream wedding :-)
The scenery and setting is nothing less than breathtaking. All staff at Kob Inn went the extra mile to make sure all went smoothly and comfortably. The honeymoon suite is absolutely beautiful and luxurious. The food spectacular, especially the renowned seafood buffet for our wedding dinner, we all enjoyed seconds and thirds.
The people are fabulous and so accommodating.
The prices are very reasonable, so go ahead and enjoy. Please go to Kob Inn's facebook site for our awesome photos to enjoy.
Thank you Kob Inn for memories to last a lifetime. We will see you soon.r

All the best, Tanith and Colin (Happy bride & groom)

Room Tip: All accommodation at Kob Inn is comfortable, we were fortunate enough to experience the Lala phanths...

Kob Inn is a fantastic getaway. Went for a wedding, and it was spectacular. The staff are freindly, they do a great job with kid care so parents can have a real holiday. The chalets are 1st class.
The food is great. They have canooing, atv, horseback riding, fishing, tennis, swimming pool and a bar right on the water.

One thing that stood out, they are remote and could really jack up there prices for drinks or even a can of coke (R6), but they dont. Cheers Kob Inn Awesome 5 days and a definate for anyone that is looking for a place to stay in style.

Most beautiful, untouched piece of coast line, perfect to get away from the world. Down to earth venue - so don't expect city-slicker luxury. Meal times are old school - set times with a set menu. Chalets clean and neat, with basic needs met.
The scenery will literally take your breath away. Chill at the pub or at the pool (both situated on the rocks), long walks on the beaches all the way to mazzepa bay. Quad bike ride through the rural farm land fields down to the edge of the cliff and ocean a definite highlight. Also enjoyed my first horse ride on the beach. Child friendly and perfect for family get away. Take a couple of books! Limited cellphone coverage for vodacom users (consider it a blessing!)
Be aware that the 35-odd kilometer dirt road to kob inn is pretty rough in a non-offroad vehicle, so just take it slow. Promise it's worth the wait!

Stunning location overlooking the Indian Ocean, the pool maybe the best sited I've ever been to, on top of the rocks. Rooms are in individual chalets and ours had two good sized bedrooms separated by the bathroom. Kids bedroom had a single bed plus a double, adult sized bunk bed. Food is good, though we preferred the met braai to the sea food buffet on Saturdays. Kids have a separate dining room and meals. This was the only draw back for us, kids weren't allowed I'm the adult dining room which for us meant sitting down for meals twice over, not always ideal. Also, the play room was sadly lacking in toys. However, with babysitting at R10 an hour you can easily have the kids watched whilst you get on with your own thing if that's what you like. Beaches were amazing. Staff couldn't have been nicer.

Stayed with friends from Port Elizabeth for 4 nights from the 17th Oct 2012 having stayed on the 2010 Enduro Africa. Really excellent with the Transkei to explore. Our friend had organised enduro bikes to explore the valleys canyons and extreme riding to be found in the area. The heaviest rain for years washed out the main highway leaving a 25m sink hole and the coast road was affected by landslides, would we have to stay longer? We would have happily, the owners and staff cant do enough to make your stay great with particular interest in making sure you are well fed. Horses, Quad bikes or just coastal walks to take your breath away. Look down from the cliffs to see the sharks (great white are common) and dolphin. Unique in every way

A truly genuine experience. Not only were the usual facilities all there and top notch but what I found the most pleasant was the enthusiasm by the staff and the property owners, the Van Zyl's, to provide us riders with everything we needed. They enjoyed our Wild Ride Expereince as much as what we did - finding this in hospitatlity is rare these days, it was more than just a job they performed, it was a duty they were proud to serve. The food was absolutely perfect. When talking to the other riders, the sentiments were the same.

Room Tip: Try get a sea facing room, but that is only a bonus, the entire property is a 'good room'.
