Fabulous stay at The Rose of the Lake in Grand Rivers KY! Chip and Michael Lee are the best hosts possible and what they've done to make their B&B inviting and special goes way beyond....
Food was delicious, creative and plentiful. Beds, oh soooo comfy and linens luxurious. Lots of cool areas to hang around, visit or be alone. Pool & hot tub immaculate. Patti's Restaurant, Badgett Playhouse and great shops not far. We're from Franklin TN and plan to return to this gem!

This was our first B&B experience and we would gladly return. My husband agreed that this was the best breakfast we'd ever consumed and, believe me, we've eaten a lot of breakfasts in our time. I don't know what they put in their ham, bacon, quiches, Southern-style banana pudding and even fruit salad (honey and cinnamon, I think?) - and I'm sure my dietician doesn't want to know - but it was well worth the calories. Everything they served tasted amazing! I felt like I was going to burst, I just couldn't stop eating.
Our hosts were very nice and we enjoyed the company of their two little dogs and Buddy the Cat during our stay. They even gave us keys to the golf cart and we whizzed down the hill for our dinner date at Patti's. Chip and Mike even had slices of pie from Patti's available for their guests as a midnight snack.
We stayed with some friends in the poolhouse cottage, which was quiet and private, so we never got to see the individual rooms in the rest of the house.
As we were leaving, Mike did mention that they were trying to get more family with children to stay as guests. And the pool did look like a lot of fun but it was way past season for taking a dip. I'm also looking forward to returning in the warmer weather months and once the roses start to bloom.

Love this place. My husband and I decided to stay at the last minute and so glad we did. The owners were very accommodating. The place is beautiful even in the winter. Downtown and Patti's was decorated beautiful for Christmas. And the breakfast at the B&B was just quite simply amazing. Looking forward to a longer stay and bringing my kids back.

I have stayed here a couple of times now and LOVE this B&B !! Chip and Michael Lee are very warm and friendly. And Patsi, the house hostess is the "hostess with the mostess". Very comfy rooms and the breakfast spread is unbelievable! The surroundings are very Zen. The pool is large and the decks are all filled with different roses and plants. Beautiful setting! it is a gem of a place! I will be staying there quite!!

During our recent one night stay I felt like I was staying at a family member's home. Upon check in we were told to help ourselves to anything in the kitchen, use the outdoor grill, make coffee if we wanted and to use their golf carts for driving around town. The next morning breakfast preparation started right outside our room at 6:30 am. Mike, Chip, and Patsi served up quiche, sausage, bacon, a fruit plate, bisquits, gravy, pancakes, egg casserole, potatoes, and I am sure something else I have missed. I have never experienced such an assortment. There were eight guests for breakfast so this may not be a typical offerering. It would be a great place for a family or friend reunion with lots of outdoor seating and a large, beautiful pool area.

Just returned from a two night stay. The owners, Chip and Micheal Lee, are very attentive as well as the staff. The pool area is so beautiful. The pool is large with a 10 ft deep end. It has a platform to jump off of as well as a slide. The decks are very pretty. They are remodeling. Breakfast was delicious with onion tarts, sausage & gravy, quiche florentine, fresh fruit, pancakes, french toast, roasted potatoes, and on and on. I would definitely stay again.
