We stayed at GR Inn because friends were staying at the canal campground up the road for convenience & location. our 1 bed room had a microwave, sm fridge & c. pot., shower no tub. 2 bed rooms were bigger & a little more expensive. They also had 2 & 3 bedroom little brick cottages. It looks like the hotel that your parents took you to in the late 60's on vacation. Family owned, friendly, very clean, cozy & quiet..Sm pool & nice hot tub. Located in the very heart of Grand Rivers. Anyone could walk to everything that they have to offer there. Whether you are breezing thru or ploping down for a couple of days, All & all it's a ok , very small & dated hotel & not fancy but it has been kept up over the years. If you want really fancy & have more time & money , like the water view , boating & etc. stay at the Green turtle bay, but get your pocketbook out. There is also the Lighthouse Landing , not as expensive as the Gr. turtle Bay. After 1 or 2 days at Gr. Rivers unless your planning to camp, fish or boat there is not much other to do. Of course there is Patti's settlement, putt putt, ice cream shop , antique store, Harley Davidson shop, & a grocery store & a comedy theater across the street from the hotel. There is Adventure River Waterpark in Eddyville & a almost abandoned outlit mall a few miles from there. The w. park is Pretty fun for the kids. This is a great weekend get away.
