I was passing through the town and stayed one night. I was fairly impressed -- for a room costing less than $50 a night including taxes and fees (travel coupon book price), it exceeded all expectations. Everything in the room worked, there was nothing broken...usually it seems like with the cheaper motels, theres little things like corners broken off a lightswitch face plate or water stains on the ceiling or a delaminating bathroom countertop. Most items in the room looked older, but everything was in working order. This place obviously works hard at maintaining. The room was clean, the only thing I saw was that the shower curtain had a small smear of something gross looking on the shower-side. Sheets were clean. The bed was not very comfortable -- I woke up with a few body aches which went away shortly. The toilet was wobbly, too. So really, the issues with the room were things that were easy to miss for motel personnel, since the issues are most readily noticed by someone using the room. My room was on the first floor and I saw 2 ants...suggestion would be to request an upper floor room. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about, the coffee sucked. But thats about to be expected for a cheap motel.
For the price, I was beyond pleased with the quality of the stay.
