“Good park and fly option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

A good hotel for a park and fly option. Shuttle was prompt on both delivery and pick up from the airport. Pool and hot tub with sauna were nice for my family to enjoy preflight. Close to a Walmart (10 minutes) and several good restaurant options. Not far from Newport Aquarium either. We will definitely stay here or future flights out of cincinati. Only draw back was no free breakfast, but airport had a few god options.

Had my 25 year class reunion here. The staff went above and beyond to make our reunion a success. The food was very good. Friendly staff, nice rooms and banquet hall. The only down side was elevator was a little slow. The room (607) was very nice and clean. Would stay here again.

I can't believe people would give this hotel 5 stars!
Entering the lobby you get the feeling you are in the 1980's.
The rooms were seemingly of the same era.
Room was a decent size and the TV was nice.
Had a Cockroach crawling around in my room which caused me to not sleep well on my first night there.
I was there on business and had a discount rate of $99 per night which is about what these rooms are worth (maybe less).
I was surprised however when I got my bill and discovered that they actually charged full rate of $255 for night one and $230 for night 2 unbelievable! I have had small suites that were much nicer (and much cleaner) for less than $255!
Maybe you pay for the convenience of being near the airport but I would rather pay more for a taxi and stay at a nicer hotel if that's the case.
Unfortunately I was unable to find out the discrepancy before I left and saw it on my credit card statement and now need to try and correct this before I put in my expense report.
I did request some toothpaste and shaving cream which was promptly brought to my room.
Front desk personnel were kind and courteous.
Breakfast buffet was expensive and did not have many choices. I have had free breakfast buffets that were better.

Room Tip: Bring bug spray

We were taken back by the experience reflected here and on behalf of the Hotel, we wish to humbly apologize for the experience conveyed in this Review and would have preferred to handle any concerns personally while the guest was here. These are not comments we are accustomed to hearing about our products and services and truly hope we have the opportunity to make restitution in good faith in effort to regain this guest's confidence during a future stay. Our Hotel is very proud of its level of service, cleanliness and quality of its product, and for this reason, these comments are very troubling and we have certainly shared with the entire Team.

Stayed on Business. This is a very large, full service Hotel, a few miles from the Airport, which is beautifully done. Huge lobby area with fountain, and sitting areas. Gift shop, Business Center, Fitness Center, & Guest Laundry. Although I didn’t use it, the pool looked perfect. Front Desk Staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful, and something you rarely see. There were enough staff behind the counter so no one had to wait. Check-in was like clockwork.

Rooms are extremely nice, and lack absolutely nothing, except a microwave & fridge if your staying long term. Medium size and exceptionally clean. Large Flat Screen HD TV with about 40 channels with a perfect picture.

The work desk was sufficient with available electrical outlets for Computer, Chargers, etc. The desk was well lit, and the chair was quite comfortable. The Free Internet was a bit slow, but OK for e-mails.

Thermostat controlled Heat / AC was effective and quite. The room was also totally quiet. Comfort of the bed was outstanding. I got good sleep every night. Since I place my computer next to the bed at night to listen to my favorite TV shows, the electrical outlets on the bedside lamp were especially convenient.

The Bathroom is large enough to be comfortable, and the faucets give a good hot / cold water ratio. They can be adjusted easily for the right temperature. The pressure is just right. Not to low and not too high for comfort.

The Breakfast Buffet was excellent, however, it’s not free. (About 13 Bucks.) It’s definitely worth the price though. I didn’t try their Lunch or Dinner, but the restaurant looks very nice.

There’s a convenience store, burger joint, and a Subway across the street.

We stayed here on a Saturday night to wake up and go to Bengals game. Only 15 minutes from downtown/Newport. We arrived and the two front desk girls were really nice & got us right in. Our room was cleaned (need more towels in bathroom). Nice restaurant and gift shop. When buying something from the gift shop the front desk was very sweet. Definitely recommend.

I travel for business quite frequently. Because of bad experiences in the past, I do not stay at Holiday Inns. . However this week I was traveling with business colleagues and was booked into this hotel.

Much to my surprise- it was a good experience. The hotel had up to date decor- the hallways had new carpeting. The decor in the rooms reflect current trends. It wasn't the typical "no door on the closet " or the sad and dark rooms of the typical Holiday Inn. it is a nice hotel - with a full service restaurant and pretty decent fiitness center.

The only downside is that I could hear every single thing that was said in the adjacent room and the person in the next room wasn't being loud. But thank goodness he was a business traveler as well so it wasn't a big issue.

We found the hotel to be well maintained and updated. Several family members commented that they had the most comfortable beds they have ever slept in at a hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The only disappointment was the restaurant. The food was mediocre and extremely slow coming out of the kitchen.
