“Lovely Atrium Pool...just wish we were able to utilize it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2014

On a trip to Campbellsville, in a hotel search, the Best Western Atrium Gardens came up. We were traveling with our 7 year old grandson and he LOVES to swim! We specifically chose this hotel for the pool. On arrival, we were never told the pool was actually closed due to waiting on repair parts. After checking in and a quick change into our bathing suits, we rushed to the pool area only to be greeted by a "closed" sign on the pool...we had one very sad little boy. That, however, is our only negative..the hotel is very lovely as well as being clean and comfortable and the staff was super friendly. The complimentary breakfast was very good with items including Biscuits and Gravy, Omelettes, Sausage, Fresh Fruit, Waffles, a variety of Cereals and Juices. The host ladies were wonderful! They stayed on top of keeping everything refilled and tables were cleaned as they came available. We would stay here again but we learned a lesson to always ask about the pool before we book...hahaha.

Thank you for responding on trip advisor. Our pool is up and running now. As you could tell we were upgrading our Atrium area to be a more pleasant area. Pool is freshly painted and awaiting your return. Thanks again and WE look forward to seeing you again. SAFE TRAVELS

Made reserv. for my husband & I & another couple. We were going to see the Lincoln Jamboree in Hodgenville & wanted a hotel close. Would highly recommend this hotel for the money. Also, we had their breakfast & were very pleased with the breakfast rm. & what they offered.

My boyfriend and I rode in on our motorcycles and the lady at the desk immediately changed our reservation, which was for a room on the second floor, to a room on the main floor so we could use the luggage cart to haul all of our stuff in! It was greatly appreciated.

She also recommended a great restaurant for supper and gave us a 10% coupon.

We're very happy with our stay.

Good location, right off the highway. Beds weren't the most comfy and the blankets were thin and we were cold all night...maybe get an extra blanket when you check in. Restaurants are in walking distance...nice to walk after sitting in a car all day. The pool looked great, but it was closed off, sort of a bummer. Would stay here again. Close to food, gas and the highway.

Thank you for stopping in and visiting. Sorry the pool was closed. As you could tell our pool area is a very serene place with lots of room and beautiful plants. We take pride in our pool as you could tell with the upgrades we were doing. Once again thank you for visiting and please come back and enjoy everything we have to offer. SAFE TRAVELS

We checked in for one night and I never felt more disgusted staying somewhere in my life. The bathroom was covered in black hairs...towels,toilet,shower, you name it. Ran water in both the shower and sink to attempt to clean and they both clogged. Room smelled like a party of 30 was in there smoking before we arrived. Oh and bugs, did I mention dead black beetles, by the bed, I'm thinking the smell killed them. If it wasn't the last room available and past midnight I would have left. Seriously debating on sleeping in the car with the kids. I wish I would have read other reviews first and I would have. I don't understand how spider webs can be covering furniture either? Did your maid service die in that room? Shame on you management. Your place is not worth the $100 some dollars a night. I think $30 would be too much. Keep driving people, keep driving!! Zero stars, negative if possible!!

Checked in and the lady and gentleman working the front desk were super nice and friendly. She offered us an upgrade to a jacuzzi suite, which if I'd known what that meant, I would have kindly declined. The room was just weird! And gross! I've never been in a room, where the bathroom was wide open to the bedroom. Seriously, a shower curtain separates the toilet from the bed! I was with my husband of 17 years and was embarrassed to use the toilet with his being able to hear, see and smell what was going on in there! Sure, there's a door to the bathroom, but there's also a 6 foot wide opening RIGHT beside the bed! Also, the curtains were tattered and torn, and the lock on our door was broken, for which there is no excuse. We should have asked to me moved or truthfully, if I hadn't had a non-refundable rate,we would have left. I won't be back.

The staff was helpful and caring, especially since I had booked at another hotel chain that was literally crawling with bugs. I couldn't get a refund from that hotel, so when I came into this hotel I was skeptical. The woman at the front desk, who's name escapes me, was the most caring person I have encountered in the hotel industry. She even gave me an upgraded room. I was so touched by her caring spirit, I highly recommend this hotel.
