“Way Better Than The Holiday Inn Express”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2008

This hotel is nothing more than a typical hampton. Rooms nice and clean with the Hampton's Cloud Nine Beds. Friendly Staff, Good breakfast, and nice location, right off of I 75. The hotel also have an indoor pool (no hot tub though), and an exercise room.

I have two small complaints - The Elevators take forever to move between floors, even when they are not busy. And also, the shower is really weird to use, you need to pull down and twist on the bathtub faucet in order to use it, kind of weird. Other than those two things, great stay.

This was our second time in Dry Ridge, stopping on our trip back from disney, we stopped here on our way down but stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, the hampton is WAY Better, go with the best in town, Hampton.

Happy Traveling!!

This is a standard Hampton Inn located next to the Dry Ridge Outlet mall. The Outlet Mall has seen better days but the Hampton is above par. Very Clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and hard working. The Inn has a large indoor pool and a small gym area ( they could use another treadmill). Area around the hotel is typical Interstate exit fare of fast food and gas stations. Overall a serviceable stop. Nothing outstanding or poor to report about this place. Generic probably best describes it but in a good way.

If you are a road warrior that likes to stick with what you know. This place is what you know and expect from a Hampton Inn.

  • Liked — within walking distance of a Speedway

We spent the last night of our vacation at the Hampton in Dry Ridge on our way home.

First, I will agree with the previous reviewer (assuming the manager is the same person a year or so later) that the manager was great from check-in to check-out (yes she was there at 6:00 PM and also (or still) there at 7:00 the next morning.

She was very helpful, even assisting when our “keys” did not unlock the door from the parking lot (Was this a sign?).

The room was somewhat comfortable and clean, but it did show signs it needed some maintenance. First, the door to the room did not fit square in the opening. Not a real problem, but did require extra effort to ensure it was locked.

The bigger problem was the bathroom. The door would not close unless you lifted it up by the door handles as it scraped the floor. The tub felt like it was going to collapse while you were standing in it. Finally, I have never encountered a shower where you had to pull down on the bath faucet (very tricky while the water is running) to engage the showerhead.

Other then these minor and easily fixable problems, the facilities were fine. I must say though, for our entire six night trip we only stayed at Hilton properties (Hamptons and a Homewood) and this one was the only one with any major problems.

I stay at this hotel on average every other week, usually all week. The manager has gone out of her way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms and the hotel in general are spotless. Recently all new bedding has been added. The staff is very friendly and quick to respond.
The complimentary breakfast is classic Hampton Inn, a lot healthier menu than the adjacent Holiday Inn. If anything might be commented on it might be that the TV sets are aging, but this seems to be only in a few rooms. The pool was just remodeled and the main level activity center is spotless and well cared for. The parking is well lit and very safe. The hotel is slightly hard to find, though just off 1-75 it is easy to miss at 65 m.p.h. even though it is close to the interstate. Look for the Holiday Inn and Shoney's, its' right behind to the West.
I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling between Cincinatti and Florida.
