the noise from the train woke my husband up several times during the night. (It didn't bother me at all, but I work near train tracks so evidently have learned to ignore it.) The view from the room was pleasant (although an eastern room would have been better.) The staff and hotel itself was very nice, and the location is convenient to the interstate and Cincinnati. The neighborhood is sketchy.

We were only here for a short stay after a concert in Aug 2012 but it was cute and clean. Nothing really special other than the service at the first desk was awesome and the lobby was really cute with coffee from Starbucks I believe.

I'll start first with the good. Beautiful and modern lobby. Very clean pool and public areas. We had breakfast and dinner at The Bistro which had a large selection (including healthy food). The Bistro also included a bar. The prices were reasonable and you can take all food to go. I noticed most guests ate breakfast at The Bistro. I'm wondering if all Courtyards will eventually turn their "free breakfasts" into a Bistro of $. Maybe their way of getting away from the free breakfasts. At any rate, now there is an option for lunch and dinner as well. Staff was friendly! We were in town for a football game. Very convenient to the stadium. For $1, you can catch the trolly out font of the hotel and the trolly drops you off at the stadium. Leave your car parked for free at the hotel!

Now, onto the rooms: if only they were as modernized as the lobby. The rooms felt like what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The mattress was as HARD as nails. I think I would have slept more comfortably on the floor (if I wasn't already sleeping on the railroad tracks!)

Unfortunately, we were on the 9th floor at the farthest corner right next to the train tracks. ALL NIGHT LONG (and I mean at least twice an hour) a train would roll through. Between the mattress and the trains.... I wouldn't stay here again if in town. I'm not sure, which came first, the hotel or the tracks.... If they build the hotel there aft the tracks - what an awful decision.

Living in central Ohio, I often travel to Cincinnati to attend sporting events and stay over night. I usually stay somewhere on the Ohio side, but my wife and I decided to stay in Covington on a recent trip to a Reds game. We did not have reservations anywhere, and just parked our car and started walking from hotel to hotel to check and room rates and availability. None of the "nice" hotels would offer us a room on a Wednesday night for less than $200.00 even with AARP or AAA discounts. We walked in to this beautiful Marriott and were greeted by Caitlin B. at the front desk. She treated us like we were her top corporate customers, got us a beautiful room overlooking the river, with a balcony, at a great AAA rate, and called my cell when our room was ready. This is by far and away the best hotel in the Cincy/Covington area, and just a short walk across the bridge to any venue in Cincy!!!
