“Improvements a plus, will stay again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

I stayed here last year around this time and I have to say the money they put into the lobby/dining area was well worth it. I felt at home sitting watching television whether it was morning or night having a nice hot cup of coffee. Coffee is a help your self as well as Tea or hot chocolate for the kids! occasionally you will see fruit out to grab as you leave or as you come back in the dining area! I have seen this now at a couple Hampton Inn's. Please keep this up! I was very please with the Internet access, rooms very clean and quiet! I'd stay here again in the area. For the cost, well worth the stay.

Room Tip: if you would like a view, ask for a higher floor.

We visited the Aquarium and needed a place to stay afterward. Pulling up to hotel we were pretty shocked to see that it abuts a rather large liquor store and even more upset to find that our second floor room was the closest one to said store. Luckily for us, when we turned on the heater it provided such a racket that we were assigned a new room- 4th floor with a beautiful view of the river, the bridge and skyline! Staff were very nice about the change and I was relieved. The lobby itself is quite lovely, clean and modern, We used the pool twice and had it all to ourselves, It was clean and fairly warm. Fresh cookies were a big hit to the teenager in the family. The room was pretty average-nice granite sinktops and includes mini fridge and microwave. Room was clean enough. No noise at night and we all slept well. Would stay here again . Food at breakfast had many many choices and the man running it was warm and welcoming, Virtually ALL staff were happy and friendly .

Room Tip: 4th floor room was great.

Stayed over a weekend when sports teams were in town. It's a great location, just across the river in Kentucky, if you want to be near the stadiums. That's not what we were there for, and the rather run-down neighbourhood and tired hotel property were not up to our expectations. Don't expect "Riverfront" to mean that you have a pleasant view of the river; the hotel is squeezed between highways, with no river view.

We usually stay at Hampton Inns, for their consistency and quality, but this one was not up to the normal standard. We did bring some deficiencies to the attention of management, and they stood by Hampton's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, so full marks to them for that.

The previous night, we had stayed at the Hampton in Wilder, KY, just a few miles south of the Hampton Riverfront. If we return to the area, we'll stay there again.

Happy New Year and thank you so much for taking time to post a review about your recent stay with us. Of course we love hearing and passing on the positives, but we improve from the less than positive feedback of our guests. For that we thank you.

While we do offer some very nice views of the Cincinnati skyline and also the river from some floors we are very careful to present our hotel based on our excellent riverfront location, not based on riverview rooms.

Thanks again for taking the time to provide feedback to us and we hope to have another chance to serve as your host in the future. As you saw we just completed the major renovations of our lobby, breakfast area, fitness room and business center and we continue to make improvements from our guests' comments.

Thanks for posting and thanks for traveling.

A friend and I stayed here the night before a Cincinnati Bengals game. The hotel was nice, clean, and quiet, even though it was crowded with football fans. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices: scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, cereal, etc. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. A big negative is the neighborhood. The hotel is surrounded by liquor stores, but if you stay on the riverfront side of the hotel, you can see the beautiful Cincinnati skyline.
Overall, it was a good stay and I plan to return.

Room Tip: North side rooms face the river. Good view of Cincinnati.

We originally chose this hotel for its close proximity to downtown Cincinnati and Paul Brown Stadium for a Bengals game, the price of the rooms and the complimentary breakfast. Our stay was much more than that.
We checked in early and were welcomed by Beth who was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. She gave us just the room we wanted, quiet and comfortable. She also helped us with places to eat and the trolley system.
The trolley stopped at the White Castle two blocks away and dropped us off very close to to the football stadium for $1 per person each way.
When we checked out and went to the game, they allowed us to leave our luggage with them. We were late in leaving for the game, so Beth even offered to call a taxi for us.
After the game and we returned for our luggage we were greeted by Chevy. I asked where the restrooms were so that we could change clothes and she told us we didn't need to use the restroom, she would give us a room key to change our clothes. It's not often one gets this kind of customer service and it was so much appreciated.
The entire staff that we had encounters with were extremely friendly and accommodating.
When you're looking for a place to stay with great customer service, I'd highly recommend the Hampton Inn-Covington, KY!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with our hotel. We appreciate your time and your business. And, we couldn't be more pleased with your response to our team and our product.

You were checked in my our General Manager, Beth, who as you can see sets the tone and example for our service-oriented team. It sounds like Chevy did a great job putting herself in your shoes when she offered you a room key so you would be more comfortable.....music to our ears.

We look forward to seeing you soon and often at our Hampton Cincinnati Riverfront.

Thanks again.

Although my family and I only stayed one night, the stay was enjoyable. I frequent Hampton Inn regularly for work and like that there are no surprises. I always know what I am going to get with Hampton Inn: clean, comfortable rooms and beds, free breakfast (not just a cheap, cold continental breakfast), well lit parking lot, friendly staff and an inviting lobby. This one was no different. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and I enjoyed the feather pillows.

This Hampton inn is conveniently placed right across the bridge from downtown Cincinnati. Stayed here for a NFL Bengals football game, apparently lots of football fans stay here on game days.

Rooms were clean, and large. Only issue is the bed sheets were balled like they had been washed too many times and flat. Just looks like its time for new sheet but everything else was perfect !

Bonuses: free wifi in room, free parking, continental breakfast. Made it worth the money !

Tip: there is a trolley that takes you from just a block from the hotel across the bridge and all around downtown Cincinnati for just 1 dollar ! Hotel has a map they can issue at the front desk.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. I got free toothpaste because I forgot some and free water bottles from them because the vending machine on my floor was out of water! Lovely!

Overall great time ! Cincinnati is beautiful !

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience about your recent stay with us. We love our location too and enjoy hosting many football and baseball fans.

Our guests appreciate the value of Hampton's free hot breakfast and wifi, and we are also happy to also be able to offer free parking and friendly, informative service.

We hope this means you will be staying with us during your next visit to Cincinnati. And, by early December we will have a beautiful new lobby and breakfast area.

Thanks for staying with us and for sharing your experience.
