My family chose this restaurant based on the reviews listed here. Most people don't write reviews - unless they have an experience at or beyond the margins. The majority of the reviews for Sahara are positive. Only a few major complainers. This told us most everything we needed to know. If you expect Ruth's Chris, don't go to Sahara. Go there and rate that for the rest of us. If you want a southern, country atmosphere, where the locals bring their families regularly and banter with the staff while they enjoy a great meal, go to Sahara.
We had steaks and catfish. Both were great. In hind sight, I might choose another side dish, as all of our baked potatoes were a bit leathery on the exterior. Probably from being cooked earlier and kept warm. The salad bar was fresh and the selections tasty. Everything was clean.
Reading the reviews and talking to the locals informed us to order the Kentucky silk or peanut butter pie - both were a great finish to the meal!
Our waitress could not have been sweeter! She made our meal very enjoyable. When we return to this area to visit, we will dine again at the Sahara steakhouse!
