“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

We were passing through Burksville, planning on staying in the next town, until we looked up and saw the beautiful Alpine Lodge, nestled in the lush hilltop. The staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. We were checked in and unpacked in 20 minutes! The room was great. All new and clean. And the view! It was beautiful. We go to Dale Hollow Lake frequently, and plan on staying at the Alpine on our way back each time!

Beautiful rooms and surroundings. The staff is so friendly and always goes out of their way to make sure you are content and comfortable. It is off the beaten path but close enough to the main roads to make it easy to get to, There are many restaurants and scenic attractions near by.

Room Tip: I loved the room with the patio which has a door going out to it.

Always stayed in Burkesville for the Annual European Riders Rally. But after12+ years of camping out in the beautiful city park, opted to share a room at the Alpine Motel way up the hill on a wonderful (for the biker) twisty road. Friends had stayed there years ago when it was in downgrade but surprisingly it was rebought with great effort being put into it to and we were impressed. Rooms modern & super comfy - private balconies on top floor and walk through balcony on bottom - great views of the town and surrounding countryside. Still needs a lot of work and the big family managing it is really hustling to get it done. Expect great things when we return next year.

Room Tip: All rooms come with a priceless view.

Excellent quiet place to stay. Newly remodeled. Shower pressure is a little weak, but we enjoyed this place. Upper rooms have a quiet balcony to sit outside with a newspaper in the morning or just sit outside and enjoy its fantastic view. The towels are folded into swans. We would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: second floor has private balconies

So sorry about the water pressure. I contacted the city right after I read your post. They have our water shut down right now and are working to correct the issue with the pressure. This pressure situation occurred during our busiest time and during our highest water usage. Burkesville water is now correcting this situation and we will not have to worry about that again.
Thanks for your kind review. We look forward to seeing you again!

Lindsey Wilson College is a Methodist-sponsored college in Columbia, KY. May 10, 2014, was the graduation date for seniors there. Accommodations are virtually non-existent anywhere close to Columbia. Our family researched area accommodations and found ready availability in Burkesville. The motel is within 45 minutes of Columbia; most other accommodations were already filled by the time we made our reservations. The drive north to Columbia is relaxing and the town of Burkesville is adequately served by dining places, an IGA grocery store and gas stations.

The motel commands an excellent view from the top of the mountain where a Civil War marker marks the request of a soldier to be placed on the hilltop.

The staff are very cordial and the rooms very comfortable. I'd stay here again if the need existed.

Room Tip: The motel is a split level (two-story) facility. The upper floor is on the same level as the parkin...

We can into town to attend a funeral and we wanted to try the Alpine Lodge. The rooms were clean with updated ammenities. The bedding was so comfy that I'd have one in my own home. There is a out door pool, and a req area is in the works . Will.be staying again!!!!!!

We stayed here for the entire weekend of our wedding! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, service was on point, rooms were clean. The beds where EXTREMELY comfortable, the view was absolutely beautiful and can't wait to go back for another weekend getaway very soon!! Only thing I would have liked to have was like a mini fridge in the rooms to store drinks, but they did provide ice :)

Room Tip: All rooms have amazing views!!

Thank you for your great review. We are working hard to make the Alpine simply the best place to stay. I appreciate your comment about the rooms without mini fridges. We do have several rooms with refrigerators in them, but we will certainly be looking into getting all of our rooms with this feature very soon. From all my family here at the Alpine Resort we want to congratulate you once again on your marriage. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
