“way beyond expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2011

As with the last review this is our first time staying at a Drury Inn. We dont normally stay at "budget hotels" so this was a little out there for us but we had a voucher and thought we would give it a go. We had no idea about the free dinner and breakfast so we were quite shocked that this was been offered, and then we thought it would be pretty awful anyway. To be honest we thought the room would be pretty bad as well. How surprised we have been! First off, the staff at the front desk are wonderful and very accommodating. The dinner offered is tastey and very generous for a free meal. (we intended to go out for a nice meal and only have a little snack here....but we went back for seconds!) the meal offered is what you would rustle up at home for the family.....again not flash but tastey enough. Thank you kitchen staff who were also very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfey and the rooms clean (thank you house keeping staf)f. I expected noise from neighbours, which i hate, but we encounted no problems. Good shower too. Breakfast was also a generous offering for a freebee! And like the last review we decided to stay another night and will be going on to stay at the Louisville Drury inn as a result of our stay here! We are travelling from New Zealand so the saving this offers us allowa me to buy more shoes!!! I still cannot
believe Im happy with a budget hotel but cannot fault the Drury Inn Bowling Green for 100% value for money. Well done to all staff.

My family stayed here for two nights while visiting Bowling Green. We booked using hotels.com and got a fantastic rate. No troubles at checking. Staff was knowledgable and friendly. The room was on the small side, but was fine for our two night stay. The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave--which we liked and used. Each evening there was free finger foods (chicken fingers, veggie platters, etc.) and free full breakfast in the lobby eating area which nice. There is also free popcorn and sodas in this area aroudn the clock. My kids loved this and visited often for refills. We had planned to swim in the pool but just couldn't fit it in our schedule, but the pool area is indoors but the outside wall is retractable and can open up to make a portion outdoors--nice feature. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitly stay here again.

Room Tip: book from an online travel site to get a great deal.

We stayed here the first night of our roadtrip. The staff was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. We were too late for the Kickback but we loved the popcorn! You could smell it half way down the hallway and it was comforting. We felt like we were at home. We had never heard of Drury before this stay. We'll definitely be looking for the name from now on.

My family will never stay at another hotel if there is a Drury around. Free breakfast, free 5:30 kickback meal for the whole family saved us about $75. The staff was so nice and helpful. Our room was quiet, clean. I liked that there was an adjustable thermostat. Pool/hot tub was clean and perfect for little ones (my 3yo son appreciated that the steps extended all the was across the shallow end of the pool). Breakfast staff was exceptional - constantly refilling stations, cleaning tables, and still made time for special requests. Best hotel I have stayed at in a long, long time.

After travelling in our car for 10 hours, we were glad to see the Drury Inn. When we got there, we found the room to be very clean and comfortable. They had a great free dinner in the lobby, which consisted of salad, baked potato bar, nacho bar & hot dogs. They also offered free soft drinks. I've never seen a hotel offer free hot food in the evening. They had an impressive breakfast, including: french toast, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, etc.

We absolutely loved this place & would recommend it to anyone. It was the same price or cheaper than other hotels we used on our vacation, but was by far, the nicest with the most amenities. Everything was clean & well maintained. The facilities were updated & the beds were comfortable.

This is my second stay at Drury Inn at Bowling Green, and I must say how impressed I am by their staff. Although we had some issues, the way the staff handled them was absolutely amazing.

One is particular, Derrick, was incredibly accommodating -- remembering our names hours after we checked in. A simple "Hello Mr. Lee, is everything Ok?" really was a nice touch.

We did have an issue with our fire alarm beeping ever five minutes, but a call to the front desk and the manager (the manager!) ran a battery up and installed it in minutes wishing us well, and even giving us directions to a local restaurant.

The breakfast was great, the beds comfortable, and even though there were lots of families in town for the holiday -- we didn't hear a thing.

It was great to see that this place had not gone down hill since we last stayed there a year ago, and we look forward to returning when we can.
