“Unique Cave Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

It was interesting to see a cave from a boat and although the tour was short compared to tours at Mammoth cave, this venue offered hiking trails and an enclosed butterfly garden. The gift shop offered a wide variety of items not seen in other places.

“Must visit when in Bowling Green”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

Lost River Cave and Valley is a great place to spend the day. We took the boat tour through the cave. Our guides name was Chad, who was just fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and fun, the valley is beautiful, the cave has a great history as well. If you have children, there is an outdoor area for them to play, no toys, just natural outdoor fun. They also have a nice gift shop with unique gifts to choose from. Perfect for any group of people. Ask for Chad if you can, he was great!

“Tour and boat ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Checked out the trails and the boat ride thru the cave. There is also a gift shop. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Loved that it was once a night club back in the 20's-50's. Very cool experience and would do it again.

“Found it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Interesting visit. Boat tour is not too long or scary, so even small children can enjoy it. A nice gentle walk through some pretty wooded pathways and lots of things to keep younger minds occupied, so a great way to introduce the younger generation to 'outdoor activities' and encourage their interest in wildlife. Nice gift shop with lovely clean amenities. Not expensive. All in all, a very pleasant three or four hours spent here. Would definitely return.

“Lots of variety”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

Lost River offers a lot more than just a cave tour.

Cave Tour: half walking through the valley, the tour guides always have great stories. Other half on the boat, which is different from other caves in the area. The distance the boat travels isn't very far but it's still fun. Good option for kids.

Butterfly habitat: seasonal, but a nice nature area

Sluice mine: buy your bag of dirt and basically pan for your gems. A winner with the kids. The bigger the bag, the better the gems.

Kid outdoor nature area: a new attraction... Lots of free activities including a fox hole.

Walking and bike trails: nice and serene.

Gift shop: I come here often for Mother's Day, Christmas and birthday gifts! Something for everyone.

Overall...it's more than just a cave, so if you are wanting a good cave tour do this one, but I also recommend doing Mammoth Cave because each cave is different and offers something neat to see.
