The first room we were given had a very obvious "wet spot" in the middle of the bed. My husband promptly visited the front desk to let them know. The gave us another room... the second room had some sort of crumbs under the pillows. We left this La Quinta, drove down the road and ended up staying at the Drury Inn. The employees at the Drury Inn apologized for our bad experience at the La Quinta more than the La Quinta folks did! The employee at the front desk of the La Quinta didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal... When we arrive at a hotel to stay, we pull the comforter off the bed and check under the sheets for signs of bed bugs and cleanliness. We didn't have to look far in either of these rooms to find that the sheets weren't even changed. Ew.
