“diversity in arts and crafts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

My wife and I enjoyed our short visit to the Kentucky Artisan Center. It was smaller than we were expecting but easy to find and home to many different styles of folk art. We bought some interesting knick knacks for family members. For example, I bought a large frog made of scrap metal for my mother who collects frogs. It's worth taking a peek at. The staff were extremely helpful, wanting us to have a positive experience. You can be in and out in under an hour and find something for a friend or loved one handmade from Kentucky.

“Excellent selection of crafts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

Dont miss this place if you don't have time to drive into Berea. They have a wide selection of Kentucky crafts, and seemed to have all price ranges. They also have a cafeteria that looked to serve better stuff than you'd get from the fast food places along the highway. The building is new, clean and the staff is very helpful in talking and guiding you to local attractions. We asked about getting up into the hills for a scenic view, and had fun getting there. Plus clean bathrooms and areas to sit and stretch out after being cooped up in the car.

“Beautiful crafts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is a nice and attractive stop to browse the wares, refresh at their snack bar, visit the Kentucky tourist information center or just stretch your legs. It is a newer facility and has beautiful wares made by the talented and creative artisans of Kentucky. There were numerous things I liked but the prices, although I am sure were fair, were somewhat outside my budget for what I liked. If you are looking for a unique gift, it can probably be found here.

“You call that food?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2012 via mobile

We love the art center. And, we used to love the cafe. Not this time! We ordered $23 worth of food for the two of us. We couldn't eat a bite! The simple turkey sandwich had frozen/unfrozen/frozen/unfrozen again turkey. And don't get the bread puddding. Yuck! We are not sure what happened, but don't recommend eating here. Buy something from the arts shop!

“Stop here first when visiting Berea KY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

Give yourself a minimum of one hour to visit this artisan center. It's nice to see all items are from our country, made by local artists and students. Great items for your home, for gifts, for fun. There is a small cafe included in the facility. Sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. This is a "must see" when visiting Berea.
