“Beautiful visitor center, excellent tasting experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

We went on the "basic" tour - I believe it was about $5/person. If we had had more time, we would have done the behind the scenes ($25/person) tour - it sounds like it's well worth it, and you get to see the bottling line.
The basic tour consists of a movie, a short walk to the warehouse (and good explanation of that), and a very good introduction to bourbon tasting, including testing our sense of smell prior to even tasting the bourbon. Plus, the tasting is done in a barrel shaped room - it's very cool.
Our guide, Billy Joe, was very good at helping us discern the flavors in the bourbons that we tasted. He also recommended some of the other Heaven Hill products we should try (non-bourbon). This Bourbon Heritage Center is really worth seeing, and they also have an excellent gift shop, including many bourbon-related food products (we bought some of the bourbon flavored maple syrup). They even had the building completed decorated for fall! And, they have very clean and modern restrooms, as well.
Whether you do the basic tour, or the $25 tour, this one is a must see.

“Loved the guide, wasn't crazy about the bourbon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Nothing to compare this to because it's the only one we took. The guide was personable and interesting. I just didn't care for the bourbon they had us taste (took the short $3 tour). Bought another bourbon in there gift shop and really enjoyed it when I got home.

“Bourdon!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Very nice modern facility with several tour choices around town too. Lots to see there with a very nice layout and display. Just love to learn the history of the area and tour where they barrels were. They did a great job, everyone was friendly and welcoming.
