This hotel is in a convenient location on the northeast side of Wichita, within easy driving of WSU, restaurants and shopping on Rock Rd., and I even stay here before early flights out of ICT since it is right near the highway. It's often the least expensive of the major chain hotels in town and is fine for my needs. All the basica, including a nice indoor pool.

My husband and I booked through Priceline (which always gives me a little angst, you don't know what you're going to get.) and arrived about 8pm. Check in was a breeze. Staff was friendly and efficient. Indoor pool has extended hours, very nice to be able to relax in the pool until midnight after all the families have gone to sleep. (Although, we were too tired to take advantage of on this trip.) Hotel does not have a fitness room, but guests have free privileges at a nearby health club. Breakfast was very good. Nice selection of breakfast items like cereal, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a very interesting pancake machine. I appreciated the sugar-free syrup and juice selection. Our room was clean and bed was very comfortable, towels soft and fluffy. It may be insignificant so some people but, sometimes the little things really count, such as: 4 pillows, each labeled soft or firm; a guard on the A/C that diverts the air away from the curtains, EXTRA OUTLETS (this is a big one with me, first hotel in a while that I didn't have to unplug a lamp to charge cell phones); a "vanity kit" with q-tips, cotton balls and an emery board; full length mirror. Unlike previous reviews, it looks like tvs have been updated to HD. Very happy with our stay, this hotel deserves to be ranked higher than the #22 that it was on this date.
Only improvement that could be made is to have light blocking drapes on the windows. We did get quite a bit of light through the window from the busy road a few blocks away.

We stopped here on a cross-country trip. It's a little ways off of I-35, but it's easy to get to, and worth the extra distance for the great value (we bid $50 on Priceline). Checking in and out were both quick and hassle-free.

Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with a king bed, couch, fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Breakfast was excellent, especially considering that it was free -- scrambled eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon, pancakes and cinnamon rolls, plus the typical hotel staples like yogurt, cereal and toast. (Some fruit would have been nice, though.) We didn't have time to use the pool, but we did appreciate the long hours that it's open -- something like 6 a.m. to midnight.

The only quibble we had is probably something that can't be fixed. We arrived in the middle of a big rainstorm and discovered that, unlike other Holiday Inns Express, this one does not have a covered entryway. (Or not a cover that can be driven under.) So we and our bags definitely got soaked on our way in. Other than that, though, we had no complaints and recommend this hotel for anyone driving through Wichita.

Well I had three rooms here for a bowling tournament was pleased with the rooms all though only one of the rooms had a refigerator which i thought was odd since they were the same rooms I did notice that it could really use some updating ad some minor fixes cosmetic wise but for the room price it was a good match the staff was nice at check in and seemed to be really friendly and sincere like most of the holiday inns we have stayed at one thing that i was let down on was the breakfast this usually being one of the reasons we stay i was kinda surprised it was not up to specs i guess i could say (they did have a huge bus tour that stayed and seemed to devour the breakfast all at once) this could have been the reason for the bad breakfast but overall i think this was a good hotel and i would probably stay here again.
