Asked for: Pets, first floor, near door, non-smoking, king. All fulfilled.
Said we would be in late: Room was waiting.
Arrival access is a bit convoluted. Detailed access/departure route information would make the navigation easier. As it is, when traveling east to west, the required U turns and counter-direction travel are confusing. No... we don't expect management to have the city change the roads.
Parking is generous. We were pulling a trailer and appreciated the plentiful options with easy morning pull-out. Two minor issues: The paving is showing its age, and there were a number of pieces of stray hardware--some sharp--scattered around. Lighting is good; we didn't have any sense of unusual security risk.
Check in was very slow. I couldn't tell whether the issue was the electronic business system or the night clerk. I didn't ask.
From a human standpoint, the room was as expected: No "delighters" but no "detractors."
From the pet standpoint, the room was less satisfying: Apparently another pet had left a scent. Our big tom began to growl the moment we carried his cage in. Room exploration was "at the ready." He was in a hostile mood much of the night. He is usually much more placid about our road rooms. This is a tough issue: the room looked clean and smelled right for people, so how would the staff know that something invisible might need cleaning?
We did not take breakfast or use any other service. Our schedule alone drove these choices.
Check-out was not the usual "slip under the door." A visit to the front desk was required. A minor inconvenience that somehow made a qwerky bookend for the check-in experience.
This facility is at a convenient position for a relatively regular multi-day excursion that we take. We will probably be back.
PS... When attempting to submit this review on-line, the FORCED sign in to the chain's marketing spam service is definitely NOT appreciated. You'll get more real reviews if you stop this practice. The only reason I didn't shut down and send my review to bit heaven was to get this PS in front of somebody who might remotely give a F...ig and do something about this self-inflicted wound.
Tell the staff what your expectations/needs are when makiing the reservation. Don't expect them...

Hello Bill, We were sad to learn about your discomforts, combined from the roads to the pets.. We do apologize for the inconvenience, and hope that this never happens to any guests, bearing in mind the limited authority we have over such things.. Sincerely, Steven Dsouza.
