“Hotel at Old Town Conference Center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Our family held a memorial for my recently deceased husband at the Hotel at Old Town Conference Center. It is a lovely venue located just across the street from the Hotel at Old Town which is built in the renovated historic Keen Kutter building in Wichita Kansas old town area. The entire experience from first contact on the website through scheduling the room and food to the execution of the affair by Ann Sikes, Joshua Mc Carter and John Herndon was done efficiently and in a genuinely caring manner. The food catered by Piccadilly (Latour Management) was imaginatively prepared and just plain delicious...outstanding menu and food as well as service. I am grateful for their help in making this affair memorable.

I will continue to recommend the Hotel at Old town to all of my friends and family. Beautiful, luxurious and above all, accommodating in every way. Aesthetically pleasing inside and out, one of the most attractive renovated buildings in and around the Wichita metropolitan area. Many thanks to the staff, job well done.

I go through Wichita alot where I usually end up in a corporate hotel. Hotel at Old Town was a wonderful change. Set in heart heart of Old Town, a beautifully renovated brickyard district in Wichita, this hotel, which was once the Keen Kutter Tool Factory, excells in quality and service. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean, with small kitchenettes, fully-furnished. There is a ten dollar charge for breakfast, but it is well worth it. One nice historical touch, they have display cases by the elevators that display all the tools that used to be made in the building in the late 1800's. Several restaurants and bars in the area, make for some excellent night-life choices. I recommend "Luca", an Italian restaurant just around the corner. Maybe not the most sophisticated Italian food, but delicious and affordable. There's also a great movie theatre nearby, with several screens, that also serves food and alchohol. All in all, it makes for a great stop in what can otherwise seem like a sleepy little city.

Room Tip: Rooms on the outer perimeter of the hotel have rooms overlooking the city. The inner perimeter room...

They have a good government discount and will always match the orbitz etc prices.

Clean, perfect location, friendly front desk, free parking. There is no breakfast included. It costs $10 at the hotel.

I was going to be overnighting in Wichita as part of my Thanksgiving Holiday travels and wanted to stay somewhere other than a "chain" hotel. The Hotel at Old Town provided everything I could have wished for.
The room was large clean, comfortable, quiet, and appointed with everything a traveler might need. The hotel is also located in the center of an area in Wichita that is succeeding in revitalization.
The best rating I can give: I'll be back.

Room Tip: Room 430 is excellent!

What was good is the service was helpful, the place was clean and the rooms were tastefully done. The fitness room was clean but could benefit from some lighter weights. The pool is closed in November.
The live jazz music was set next to the bar and the bartender was loud; there was plenty of room to put the musicians away from that but the mgmt didn't seem to consider someone might actually want to listen to the music.
It was in a good location to walk to restaurants and just 2 blocks from the Museum of World Treasures so for a short stay, it is a good pick.

I travel extensively and this is one of the bests hotels I have stayed at. It is a turn of the century hotel with tons of charm located in the heart of Old Town. Old Town has tons of restaurants and bars and there is a great convention center right across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms with the baconey on the 4th floor
