“Great staff, great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

What a fantastic hotel. The rooms are clean clean clean. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The little extras are a treat. Popcorn and soda in the afternoon , amazing breakfast in the morning.
The staff will greet you with smiles and treat you wonderfully.
Highly recommended.

The Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview in Wichita, Kansas is a classic hotel with great charm, lovely appointments, and the friendliest staff in the near-west. Built in 1921 along the Chisholm Trail, and a popular railroad stop, the old Broadview became a gathering place for weary travelers and Wichita society. All were welcome, particularly in the lobby-level Crystal Ballroom… and the basement speakeasy!
Having recently benefitted from a $30 million renovation, the Drury Broadview is modern and comfortable. The renovation preserved beautiful crown molding, and charming nooks such as the mezzanine restaurant. Old pictures adorn the walls and overstuffed chairs in the lobby create great spots for conversation or reading. Just outside the hotel is the Arkansas River whose banks have been developed by the City into park-like walking and jogging trails.
High ceiling comfortable rooms are spacious. Oversized windows look out on the fair city, and allow light to fill the rooms. But, as delightful as the physical spaces can be, the real charm of this place is the staff. Ever person working at this hotel is happy to be there, and happier that YOU are there. One never passes a staff member without receiving a friendly greeting with a broad smile, and a kind word.
How nice it is to be appreciated at the Drury Broadview.

We enjoyed the elegance of the building and yet Drury still managed to make us comfortable in their family, pet friendly environment. The room was as expected and the facilities were Drury excellent all the way even though they were downtown and a little off the interstate. Yes I'd stay there again. The only negative was that I had to park on the street because of the 5x8 trailer I towed.

If you are looking for a newly renovated, clean, eco-friendly and reasonably priced hotel with excellent service, this is it. Free breakfast, kick-back (5:30 pm, free food and two free drinks), free Internet, popcorns and soda, and wonderful staff. We went to the kick-back and breakfast: the free food was fair, and we saw large crowds. We ended up leaving tips on the table because the staff were just amazing. The hotel provides covered parking ramp (with a small fee under $10), and it is connected to the hotel with a bridge. Overall, Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview is one of the best hotels I have stayed around the world. Check it out.

I absolutely love this hotel! Everything from room cleanliness to staff friendliness, this is the place to stay in Wichita. We came here for business and it was one of the best places we stayed. On our first trip we stayed in the Hyatt which is really close and thought it was so fancy and would accept our government rate so why not. The Hyatt was beautiful and so nice but they charge for absolutely everything including wireless internet which is annoying. When we were coming back my co-worker stumbled upon this hotel and said the reviews were better and they didn’t charge for all the extras. We thought we would try it out and was I glad we did. The rooms are just as nice and fancy as the Hyatt but the overall experience was 10 times more enjoyable. Drury includes wireless internet, breakfast, and the “kick back”. Their breakfast is actually good including pancakes made in front of you, eggs, biscuits and gravy, organic granola, and tons of other choices. I can’t quite remember one of the woman’s name, I think Michelle maybe, I should have wrote this right after we went there but got too busy and now forgot but she was amazing. Super friendly, always remembers everyone and talks to you as if she really cares. The kick back is awesome, free drinks and snacks, how much better can this place get! You read a lot about Costello in these reviews and while at the “kick back” I saw a really friendly guy with everyone making sure everyone was great and said “I bet that is Costello” sure enough it was.

The exercise room was big and had a large variety of machines. They all looked rather new and in really good shape. Every machine has a remote for the same TV so it doesn’t matter where you go you can control the TV.

Also being from Seattle, we are all a little "green friendly", I loved the fact that instead of wasteful little plastic airplane bottles of soap, shampoo, and conditioner they have re-fillable dispensers in the shower. I know for some that may be a turn off but I think it was fantastic! I think little things like switching hotels to this method could really make an impact on the amount of waste that hotels produce. It seems like it would also lower the cost of those items to the hotel which could in turn be passed off to the consumer or for added amenities like the “kick back”.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and somewhat sad my work in Wichita is over. If there was ever a reason to come back to Wichita I would choose this hotel in a second.

We stayed at the Broadview Hotel Dec. 22 and 23. Hotel was super clean and very comfortable. The breakfast and kickback were both fabulous! The Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Wichita. The lobby is super classy and resembles something from New York City. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was just as we wanted.
