“Very nice stay in a funny layout hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011

The room was great. It was quiet large and very clean. Yet, The ac was a problem as it wouldn't turn off. You could even turn the heater on, and still the ac was on.
Anyway I had ordered a their local pizza delivery thats on the back of the room key and it was very good with fast delivery.
The funny thing of the room, is that it faced into an enclosed atrium of the hotel. so we could look out and see people siting in chairs, playing on computers, or walking down to the pool.
All around it was a very nice stay!

I was thoroughly impressed from the moment we walked it. We drive an 18 wheeler that broke down on us in the middle of the night near this hotel. Walked in and found a friendly, helpful staff that efficiently got us into a room that matched our criteria. A special thanks to Bill for lightening our mood during the check-in process. Our spacious room came with a fridge/ freezer, microwave, internet access, and one of the most comfy beds one could want. Right outside all the rooms is a beautiful indoor courtyard area! They have a relaxing jacuzzi and pool along with a game room / TV area, with access to this area right outside each room!! They have a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning at the attached restaurant "The Country Kitchen" which offers a variety of delicious foods, all free for guests! If ever we come through Witchita again, we will definitely stop here for a relaxing stay.

We picked this hotel at random while on a trip. We like the chain but sometimes get a bad property. This one was great! The clerk was very nice and professional. The room was outstanding. It was quiet, spacious and well furnished. The bed and linens were top quality and the room was clean. If you are looking for a place to stay that is quiet and you can get a great nights sleep, this is it.

This motel was just what I had hoped for. I had all 5 of my children with me. We spent may hours in the pool and spa. We was able to enjoy the courtyard to relax and play games. Mrs. B and myself had a king suite. The kids loved dipping in the Jacuzzi tub.

After 600 miles of driving we pulled in at 2:30 am. The gentlemen behind the counter were more than accommodating, they were extremely friendly. They gave us our choice of which floor we'd like to be on and even gave us a discount on the room. The parking lot was clean, the hallway was clean and, most importantly, the room was clean. When we woke up in the morning we were served a complimentary breakfast in their restaurant. I've travelled a lot and usually remember only the bad experiences . . . this was one I remember for the good experience.

The room had a nasty smell, (room 175). It was near an outside door that guests gathered and smoked. The air conditioning unit needed replaced. The room furnishings were old and tired. The room included a free buffet breakfast. During my breakfast the hostess kept stopping by the buffet and grabbing bacon with her hands.

We met for a family gathering at the Best Western North. It was a convenient location with our group coming from several states. We found the service to be accommodating and the rooms were clean and updated. The large open common area was perfect for our family. Some could watch football on the TV. Others played ping pong and the kids had plenty to do for free. I was shocked at the number of dogs everywhere. We had two dogs in our group and they spent some time out in the common area with the family (on leashes, of course). Breakfast buffet was great! The restaurant service was not so great but there was a nice variety of food, including pancakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with peppers and ham, fresh fruit, oatmeal. We will gather there again.
