A recent terrible visit prompted me to write this review. Since The Anchor changed ownership, I've seen a steady decline in its desirability but since the last trip they've lost 10 once-regular customers. To sum it up, their waitor obviously forgot to place two of our group's orders and when the last two members of our group hadn't received their food 20 minutes after everyone else and we asked about it, we were told, "well, you should expect 20 minutes for your food to show up after ordering." We were calm, not boisterous, and gracious when the manager came by; obviously not a group just out to get a free meal. 40 minutes after we'd all placed our orders, the last two finally got theirs. The manager comped the meals - which we were thankful for - except he then sat down with other patrons and began obviously talking about our group. (Hard to miss it when someone is looking directly at you and pointing his finger.) We are a group of 10 late 20-somethings, all with professional jobs in the area. Hope they enjoy the loss of lunch traffic after we explained the situation to our friends and coworkers.
