Your average home made cafe. Good hearty food with very reasonable prices. Are open quite regularly.

“Should Be Better”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2010

Green Acres looks like the kind of place where you should want to eat when out in the country near a recreational lake -- a brightly-lit, hometown cafe' kind of place, where you would think you'd find good home cooking .... until you got your plate and tasted the instant mashed potatoes. Then you know that this is a place where they take the cheap and lazy way around, cutting corners instead of bending their elbows. How hard are mashed potatoes? You have to use boxed ones? That sets the whole tone for me, and it's a deal breaker.

If you can't get anywhere else, then just have a piece of pie (which usually is decent) or go next door to their pizza and sub shop for a quick snack, but don't bother with dinner at Green Acres.

It's too bad, because this has all the elements to be a good country eatin' place.
