“Review of Tour of Spa 2010”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2011

I did not actually stay at the Spa as we have a small cabin at Manitou. But there was no area on review to say that.
What I want to say is because of the Grand Opening in 2010 and the Tour we had. Most of the remarks I read on your replies were from 2008-9 which were before the renovations had been completed in summer of 2010. The beds were explained as very special mattresses and they were definitely been the most comfortable I have ever had at a hotel.
The rooms are beautiful and very well designed. The scerery is spectacular from most of the rooms and the rooms are rented in different catagories so people can choose what there experiency will be and the reason they are there.
New carpeting, beautiful large bathrooms; beautiful furniture so you could not help but be comfortable and feel like you are in luxury.

I just want people to take a look again and don't look at these old remards from before the renos.

In speaking to any one at the lake that speaks about their stay speaks only of good things; great food and "what a wonderful place".. They come from all over the world.

That's fantastic !

since the renovations and upgrades i was very impressed. the rooms are all redone, the super soft beds and pillows are top notch and even the bathtubs have no slip bottoms! very clean and modern facility with friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. i will definately return as i had the best sleep ever for a hotel bed!

I took my wife (a former Sask resident)to this Spa as an anniversary gift. We both had a great time! It is several years since our last visit, and the improvements are awesome. The rooms have certainly been upgraded, and my wife found the "in-hotel" shops to be up to date and well stocked (!) with giftware. We particularly enjoyed the pool and surrounding areas which seem to us to be in much better conditon than on our last visit. We understand the Spa is under new management, which must account for the friendly, up-beat attitude of the staff. A thoroughly enjoyable visit, and one that we won't wait so long to repeat. P.S. don't forget to try the dining room, and some of the featured lakeside walks.

We have stayed at the spa numerous times in the past years and I must say that the renovations have made a huge improvement to the atmosphere and comfort of the hotel and spa areas. The in room fridges are a nice touch and the new tubs and paint have spruced the rooms and spa up immensely. We will continue to make our yearly trip to the spa to enjoy both the pool and beautiful scenery of the lake and surrounding area.

I am an annual visitor to Manitou Springs Resort in both the summer and winter months, and find the whole experience to be one of a kind. The mineral waters truly do revitalize and rejuvenate the body. Having crews staying at the hotel may at first sound inconvenient. However, between the spa, beaches, golf course, and walking along the beach, the time in my room was spent sleeping. The rooms were typical of those in a smaller community and were clean and comfortable. During my most recent stay there seemed to be ongoing renovations and upgrades to the hotel and spa. I inquired as to the renovations with a staff member who advised me that renovations were first taking place to all the bathrooms in the hotel as well as the spa. Plans for further renovations are apparently also in the works. I am looking forward to my next trip to see the changes. Love the Beach and the community. It is always one of my most relaxing trips.

Watrous was hosting the Provincial High School Mixed Curling Championship. And Yes the work crews are there and obviously pay way too much money because they are ruining the hotel and staff dont seem to care. The spa Staff in their wisdom placed the kids in the same general area as the crews, which meant filthy carpeting, loud conversations with all sorts of language, late night parties and dope smoking in the halls and rooms. This lasted until 3 am Friday night. Thursday night the fire alarm was set off twice in the middle of the night. Was there anything done by staff and security.. NOPE. They pay alot of money to stay there so a weekend or couple night stay visitor is very low on their customer service priority. My daughter stated that it ruined their whole trip experience.. too bad.

Yes we too are very dissapointed with the crews behaviour that particular night - we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it caused you and your group! This work crew had stayed with us for the 5 months prior to that night, and not once did they create a disturbance. It just happened that their work in the area had finished, and they had a party to celebrate. Once we heard them getting louder, we called in another night security worker to try to control the situation, but unfortunately moving them all to our conference room didn't even help. Please understand this was an isolated incident, and our staff has been instructed to call the RCMP in the future if we cannot control it, even though it is now very rare for such large work crews to stay here.

Staying at Manitou Springs Resort and Mineral Spa brought relaxation to us.It's a place to bring comfort and peace of mind.It soothes ones spirit especially those who are burdened or troubled like me.This is also a spa where a person just float. No matter what you do u will never sink.

I enjoy the panoramic view as well cos the spa is situated along a lake.It has a nice view.
