I stayed at this hotel before the Rock the Parkway half marathon. The lobby is very attractive and was buzzing with activity when I arrived around 9:30 p.m., especially in the lounge area. I liked how the lounge and lobby were a large open area. The hotel was pretty full with a wedding, the race and a sorority event--that's probably why they upgraded me for free to a Club Level room. It was nice to have the Club Lounge close by for a water or snack. The rooms were very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Besides the king bed, I had a large dresser with TV, desk, bed tables, lounge chair with a footrest and side table in the room. I loved the cozy robe, too. I didn't use any of the facilites but the workout area and pool looked great. I plan to return with my family next time we are in KC. I wish this hotel were closer to the city center, as the only drawback is that you need to drive a bit south to this hotel if you are not planning to be in the south part of the city. But, given all the other high qualities, it is worth the drive to me.
