“Lied about parking!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2014

Made reservation over phone, I ask the clerk several times if they had enought room to park a big rig 18 wheeler, he responded yes more than enough room, when I arrived there was 0 truck parking. The parking they provide is barely enough room for the tractor much less a 53' trailer the night clerk was very helpful in providing me with info on a hotel within a mile that has truck parking. I just wish people would be honest especially the ones in the hospitality business.

I travel alot, I have spent the last two years traveling and staying in hotels all across the country. This is a place I come back to every other year and have been doing so for over 10 years. With that said this place is under new ownership and management from when I first started coming here. When I checked in a few months ago construction was underway for a new breakfast area and was completed a few short days later. When i checked out they had begun remodeling all of the rooms which make this place much much more luxurious then it was. The staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. I was very satisfied with my internet connection with speeds of 65 megs down and 11 up there isn't anything I cant do online.

The owner and his family are dedicated to breathing life back into this hotel and have done an amazing job so far. As mentioned earlier police and fire departments are across the street making this a very safe location. Also just a short walk away from the mall and many great restaurants. Bhargav the owner is very open to suggestion and actually implements the good ideas quickly.

I had a very wide variety of channels to choose from the furnishing were new and in great condition my bed was very comfortable and my AC worked better than any other hotel I have ever stayed in, I do not like the heat so that was very important to me.

Now I would like to address some of the other comments made by guest who wrote bad reviews. I have stayed in roach motels. This is not one of them Alisha the evening front desk girl may have a few tattoos but she is sweet kind and knows the area well and was bale to make many recommendations on places to eat and attractions I might want to see. I have seen her handle crisis very professionally and enjoyed wasting time talking her ear off at the front desk.

Some sites give this propery two stars--they may yet get there but are not there--at least not yet. The kicthen/breakfast area was under renovation and this will help. There are signs of more upgrades but the transition period is a bit painful. Front desk lady may have won a local tatoo contest--plesant demeanor but not "front of the store" impression. This hotel is located across the street from local law enforcement and there is a 24-hour convenience store very close, which is helpful. Breakfast was the bare minimum with ultra weak coffee. Check the heat/AC when you get to your room. Window units are loud but mine worked. JUST okay...keep working management/owners, you've got the potential to make this a desirable budget destination--not there yet.

Room Tip: There was to be wifi but it was very sporadic and weak when it was on. If this is a priority, ask a...

stayed here one night to go to brothers birthday party. new management as of first of April. they hav cleaned up, So very clean and they painted all walls so very presentable. They still need to some finishing touches on rooms but it was clean and everything worked, made new breakfast area but not many choices but coffee and juice. just toast, English muffins and little Debbie type rolls. but for the price no complaints at all. about 40 dollars cheaper than any other place in Olathe.

This was by far the worst hotel experience of my entire life. Upon arrival to the hotel the lobby was in disarray. There was junk and randon couches and chairs sitting in lobby. The floor in the lobby was coming up and there were massive stains on the carpet. The room was outdated and was dirty. I wa afraid to sit on toilet because of an unknown stain. The hotel lobby smelled like old dirty socks and cigarette smoke. Thjs hotel should not be offered on anysite and should be stripped of its econolodge name and star rating. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before staying there. Please and I repeat Please Stay away from this hotel at all costs!!!!!!
