BW-Olathe deserves its top ranking.
My room was immaculate, with a great bed, 2 flat screen TVs, a mini-fridge with temperature adjustment, TV remotes sanitized and placed in cloth sleeves -- who does that?! And, fine hot breakfast, nice pool and spa, and a front desk staff that aims to please.
Drawbacks? Hmmm. Maybe the usual affliction of all such roadside hotels, the single slow elevator for 3 floors and 60+ rooms.... The location, alongside the interstate highway, with a truck stop down the street and the railroad tracks a quarter mile away.... An overworked housekeeping staff that leads to rooms not being cleaned until mid afternoon....only one entrance driveway and limited parking.
So, it's not perfect. But for less than $ 100 per night for a king suite, this is a terrific hotel.
