We were in Topeka on business and really wanted a good steak dinner; but, since we had decided to drive out to the Casino, we thought that, surely, the restaurant would be decent. We went on a Thursday night, with must be SEAFOOD NIGHT. There was hardly a dish that didn't have seafood. The only beef in the place was a small amount of barbeque beef and a meatloaf that looked scary. We would have had a sandwich, but saw the words "Butcher Block" and thought we would probably at least get some kind of steak or roast beef since the price was plenty high.
I can get both those items any day at Sirloin Stockade. Instead of having 100 items that all look cheap, why not drop it down to 25 really good items, with a variety each night. Patrons are primarily there to gamble. After our dinner, we almost got in our car and left. The employees in the restaurant were very nice....doing the best they could with what was on the menu.
