A bit out of town but open to all and very cool to see and touch. Great views and fresh air and no crowds!

“Magnificent View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Chain Mail was found a few miles to the south of Coronado Heights, so it is almost assured that Coronado made the ascent. Originally, I thought the castle-like structure was a fort, but it was constructed by Works Progress Administration in 1936. Just look at it from afar, the inside has been horribly defaced and vandalized (very disgusting). The main attraction though is the remarkable view! The distance that one can see from all sides is amazing! I am a major fan of the Flint Hills and Symphony in the Flint Hills, and this reminds me of that area. The monument structure only helps you identify Coronado Heights, but the wonderful view and history actually define this site!

“Beautiful View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

I love going to Coronado Heights. When the sun comes it, you see the gorgeous view of the country side. Then at sunset, you see the land go to sleep with the sun. It is also gorgeous anytime of the day. I proposed to my fiancée her at sunset. It was truly gorgeous and romantic.

“Time for some fixin' up!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

This is an old attraction. It needs some TLC. The area around the building is deteriorating. While the view is good that is about all that can be said for going there.
