“Terrible Terrible Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2011

When we first walked in to check into our reserved room, I had to call the Hotel desk phone after standing there 20 minutes to get someone to check us in. The room we checked into reeked of urine, so bad that it made us gag. The wallpaper border was falling down and there were huge brown stains running down the walls. The light next to the chair was broken and the bathroom had hair on the floor and in the tub and urine on the floor in front of the toliet. After arguing with the desk clerk I finally got a different room. The second room seemed to be better, although the bathroom wasnt very clean. We requested a wake up call and did not receive it. Upon checking out I noticed that we were charged $20 more than the price I was given on my confirmation. I am an employee of this hotel chain and have already made complaints to the Corporation. This place definatley is not worth the money they are charging.

This hotel was just a terrible dissapointment from the very start. To begin with when I tried to check in the front desk clerk was a joke. He made inappropriate comments to me, and he couldn't even check me in right. He didn't know what he was doing and tried to double charge me. After finally explaining what happened the hotel clerk got me checked in...to the wrong style room. There was only me and my husband and the hotel clerk tried to put us in two double beds, when I ordered a queen room with one bed. He claimed he gave me the wrong paperwork and it was an accident. Either the guy was just a complete idiot or simply just trying to be rude and cause us grief. Neither option make for a good hotel clerk.

The room itself was a disgrace. The wall paper was ripping, it was loud in the room, and the shower had so much dirt in it and grime it was simply disgusting.

I asked for a late check out and the hotel clerk came banging on my door before our time was even up. Then he said he would need extra money, when to begin with they forgot to give us a wake-up call, and said they never took a wake-up call from us when they did.. Then to make this whole ordeal even worse after my husband gave the guy extra money the guy at the desk called the police on us. The police laughed and didn't even write a report because it was so clear the guy was off his rocker.

The hotel was cheap, but so was everything about it. Save yourself the headaches and pay a few dollars more. There are several other hotels around which will definitely be more worth it then this stinky hotel was. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone, especially if your like us and like to sleep in a clean and comfortable area. This hotel was definitely subpar.

You may save a few bucks here, but is it really worth all the grief and a possible police report? I think not. Never again will I stay at that hotel. Take our bad experience as an example and save yourself the grief and displeasure of a hotel clearly going down. There was no other people around other then some loud teens down the hall. I see why now. You should too.

Room Tip: Don't stay here. A Headache!

The rooms were nice sizes, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker in room. Our room had a slight cigarette smoke smell (through no fault of the hotel), backed up by a small burn on one of the comforters. In my opinion it is time for new mattresses. While I slept well, there was a noticeable slope to the middle and I did have a little back pain. I was not overly impressed with the desk staff. The first night's lady was a bit clueless. Did not know how to help us get the handset changed for our phone, as the plug was broken and would not stay in. Was not familiar with the area at all, had no idea where restaurants were close by, including a McDonald's a block and half away. She was nice though. The other desk lady during the day, was not the friendliest in my opionion. Breakfast was quite adequate, a good assortment of bread for toast, bagles, and donuts; waffles; eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), yogurt, orange juice, cereal, milk, peanut butter, fruit. Wireless worked good.

Note to families: Flipped to HBO as we were scrolling at 10:30 at night to find porn on. As we do not have these channels at home it was a bit of a shock.

The staff at the hotel was superb. The manager (jpatel.ks066) and the hotel staff (gking.ks066) were excellent.

Excellent hotel in location, rooms, clean, indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, breakfast. All the amenities we needed! Traveled with many other families for 8th grade basketball tournament. Would definitely use again.

good rates in good location - rooms are a bit sparse in terms of furniture but "good rate" so I'll take it. Clean - good breakfast. You won't have a problem staying here.

Very clean and comfortable. Well maintained. Excellent continental breakfast with some extras not often offered by other hotels in its class. Far enough off the Interstate hwy so road noise was not an issue.
