We had dinner at Carmen’s, food was fresh and good. Good wine list, clean place, pleasant atmosphere, and good service.

“Humm,”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

I agree with "David N." His review was completely accurate with respect to the atmosphere of the restaurant when he wrote, "comes off as a mid to upscale restaurant," but "fails to deliver." That said, the appetizers were great, but stay away from the Cannelloni. It had a very weird taste, and was served in a funky red sauce that looked like it should've been served over an enchilada, not on Italian pasta dish. The waiter was good though.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Comes off as a mid to upscale restuarant based on the prices and atmosphere, but fails to deliver. Food is fair at best. I had a steak that I ordered as medium, but it came well done. No staff knowledge on their wine selection. Bottom-line: they are trying to be upscale with an Italian flair, but are missing the mark

“Very good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

The food was excellent. Nice chicken dishes. The meals came with salads and bread. Our friends asked for olive oil mix for the bread. It was wonderful. It had garlic, cheese, and basil. The food prices were fine and the service was great. The mixed drinks cost more than we expected but I plan on going back.

“Very nice little Italian venue in Park Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Carmen's is a great little Italian restaurant in Park Place. It's a locally-owned business.

Carmen's has a nice, albeit typical, Italian menu. The spedini dishes are all typically good. They have a couple of fish dishes that are out of this world. The service is excellent, even when it's packed. Good attention to detail.

It can get a bit crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. We've found that occasionally less crowded to get a small table on the bar side rather than the restaurant side.
