“Fun weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

We stayed here for a birthday weekend for our twin boys combined with an obligation that my husband had in KC. We purchased the family suite. Kids like the bunk beds and our bed was comfortable. Nice amount of space for our family of 5 for two nights. Suite needs better lighting to enjoy it. Otherwise, comfortable. Lobby was nice, we enjoyed the pool though it's not large, would have liked a hot tub. Stafff is friendly and overall things were clean. My husband's event was downtown, and this hotel was great proximity to that while still being "out of downtown" for me and the kids.

We booked our trip on a last minute whim, and chose to stay at the Hampton Inn. We were greatly satisfied with our choice! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean and beds are comfortable!! This was a first time hotel stay for our 5 year old son and he loved every minute of it and said he was sad that we had to leave! We will definately use this hotel again if we are in the area and would highly recommend it!!

Was a VERY clean and the staff was most helpful.. I'd recommend to anyone traveling to Kansas City... close to resturants and shoipping which was a plus!... lots of attractions and can walk to just about anywhere you would want as a large shopping mall is steps away from this hotel. If you are just visiting the area for the first time, you need to try this hotel as it is close to about anything and anyplace you'd want to visit while in this area.

Great stay at the Hampton Inn in KC! I will definitely return. The front desk clerk was so helpful, polite and friendly. The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. I look forward to returning!

We stayed in a king suite that has a wonderful wilderness cabin theme. It has a large jet tub and a walk-in shower. The fireplace tops off the romance experience. We live locally, but stay in this room occasionally for a close "get-a-way".

We had tickets to a Kansas Jayhawks basketball game and my boyfriend decided if we were going to be that close to KC, then we would need to go to Cabela's (since we are not near one). After looking at the weather forecast, and seeing a chance of freezing drizzle, we decided to head down the night before and get a room. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Cabela's. There are a few other hotels in the area, but I choose Hilton brands when I can because of my points.

Check-in was a breeze. It actually looked like we just about had the entire hotel to ourselves, as I only saw about a half a dozen cars outside at 9pm on a Friday night! The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the shower head in the bathroom being high enough that you don't have to crouch down just to be under it.

The breakfast items were plentiful, just like any typical Hampton Inn. After we ate breakfast, we checked out and headed across the road to Cabela's. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and was promising in the beginning, but as soon as the lights are out it is not accommodating. The walls are very thin, every time someone uses the stairs it is a startling pounding. If anyone is using their room as a nightclub you can hear it all down the hall. Breakfast looked like it might have been good but the serving area holds only enough food for a few people, the rest of you wait like cattle at a trough. The hotel was clean.
