Save your money and stay elsewhere! We recently stayed 2 nights at GWL for my Grandson's birthday and while we made the best of it, we ended up feeling like we could have spent the same amount of money to do just about anything else. Our stay did not start out on the right foot to say the least. When we checked in and went to our room, a kid's cabin for $675 for 2 nights, our keys did not work. We thought no big deal and my son-in-law went to the desk to let them know, but was promptly told to get at the end of the large check-in line. Eventually, the general manager stopped to investigate why my wife, daughter, and Grandkids were waiting with a bunch of luggage and looking very dissappointed. He verified that the room was in my name and proceeded to use his key to let them into the room, but it didn't work. So, he offered to put us in a different room, not an upgrade for our hour long wait, but a different similar room. So, we followed the gentleman to the other side of the complex, and that room would not open either. A maintanence man happened along and after a few electronic adjustments was able to open the room. We were given $20 of GWL bucks for our trouble and the keys were brought to our room. Once in the room, the kids were excited about the cabin. The room was OK. The cheap TV above the fireplace was terrible, but we were there for the waterpark. So, we proceeded to the park which was no better than other much less expensive indoor parks we had been to. It was fine, but a disappointment for the costs. When we came back to the room we decided to order pizza from the GWL pizza joint. It came to $35 for 2 large pizzas that tasted what one might imagine shoe leather might taste. We slept alright and then paid $15 for coffee and 2 muffins. The kids wanted to play with the $35 magic wands and play mini golf and/or go to the overpriced kid spa, but we passed and had fun shopping with that money at the Legends shopping center. The food was much better there as was the customer service. The kids did enjoy themselves and the rooms were alright, but they could be updated and cleaner and were not worth the Great Big Wolf Bucks we spent. Next time we will go to Branson or Colorado for a week for the same money spent for a 2 days stay at not such a Great place!
