“Ok for a night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Pros: highway is right there so its a good place to stop for a night if traveling through. The room was not too bad. Front desk personnel were pretty nice.

Cons: smelled like Indian food. The view out of my room was a side lot where seedy characters were hanging out. The electrical sockets were filled to the brim on top of an adapter. Lamps, television, etc. were all in the same socket which may explain why early in the night the entire hotel went without power after a big boom outside.

There are many hotels on this road that are economical but I chose this as I was too tired to go hotel hopping.

Room Tip: I had a room just across from the ice machine....enough said

We just needed a room for the night and chose this motel because of the savings.
Halls smelled of smoke (non-smoking?) Room was hot and musty so we turned the A/C on and went to dinner. When we returned the room was cold and smelled musty (a/c fan blows constantly). The beds were comfortable.
Bathroom light quit the next morning and we were told we had to wait until 9:30 for maintenance to show up. When we asked for a discount, they suddenly got someone to replace the bulbs.
The continental breakfast was cold cereal, packaged pastries, coffee and orange juice. No room to eat so we took it back to the room and waited for the light repair.
Next time we'll try somewhere else.

Room Tip: No elevator: 1st floor is down a 1/2 flight of stairs, 2nd floor is up 1/2 flight

***Easy Highway Access***quiet***priced right***clerk allowed us to view the room before checking in. Room (queen bed only) was on third floor and had fridge, microwave, full size coffee maker, old style 25" TV and a fairly comfortable bed for the price(slept in late). This hotel is far from the worst in the area. Just a simple drive around would prove that. There is no elevator, and it could use some extra outlets and a blow drier for a perfect rating. (I am mildly allergic to cigarette smoke and this property did not invoke any symptom) WiFi was nearly as fast as cable internet at home. Don't expect pristine scenic views but it was comfortable, quiet (with ac fan on) and friendly. ****Would stay again.**** Did not use the continental breakfast because we were visiting family. Location is a ways from local restaurants, but you're in your car right? (Disclaimer: This is not a Marriott or a Drury)

Room Tip: Use the Highway Coupons available at interstate rest stops for best price and check in. No matter wh...

Booked on price-line. Hotel was listed as pet friendly, but that was not the case on check-in, they claim they have tried to change the listing, they were very happy to accept the $20 pet charge though. The hallways and rooms smell like an ashtray even though it is a "No smoking" hotel. No alarm clock, room stunk, the owners minor children were running the front desk... All in all a terrible hotel DO NOT RENT THIS HOTEL!

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel!!!

The hotel smelled like smoke even in non-smoking areas. The bedding was clean but there were stains on the side of the mattress and the floors. There are restaurant options and better hotels one exit west. This hotel is more of a 1-star rating. Yuck.

If you are just staying one night, it's ok. Had to ask for more pillows, only 1 packet of coffee and no decaf at all. The room had no blow dryer.
The side door isn't locked at all.
We have stayed in a lot of equally priced hotels and this one had less of the amenities that you expect to see in a motel.
Continental breakfast was in one corner of the lobby with no place to sit. It was get and go. It had coffee, orange juice, cold cereal, bread, bagels, packaged honey buns and muffins. It was enough to get us on our way. It is being run as cheap as possible.

I called a few hours outside of Junction City and asked for the AAA rate and was booked in a single room right away at a substantial discount. This hotel appeared to be fairly recently updated and everything was clean and newly painted inside and out. Nothing especially fancy but the queen room was pretty large and the bathroom was clean and well appointed. All-in-all a good nights rest and the staff I encountered were pleasant and very helpful.
