Great buffet. Perfect for feeding a crowd with out the wait. Friendly and attentive servers. Parking is limited due to location.

“Excellent!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

After leaving the Reno County Museum, strolled on Main Street and came upon this place. We had the buffet and were very pleased, the beef and sour cream were unlike any we've had before and we really enjoyed everything we ate. The chocolate cake was delicious, makes my mouth thinking about it! Went to Smith's Market afterwards for some old fashion decor and fun reminders of past times.

Besides Roy's, this is the place locals recognize as the best. Excellent, authentic Mexican food. The weekend buffet got so popular that they now run it everyday. The atmosphere is a dive, but the food is divine. Some great shops have sprung up across the street, which is a testament to the weight of the Anchor.

“Over rated”

Our favorite food is Mexican so with all the great reviews we tried it but never again if we pass through this town again, I think most of great reviews were from the locals that might not have had authentic Mexican food. It was tasteless except for salsa which was great, we ordered off the menu since buffet looked dried out. The taco was recommended so ordered it. It had grated American cheese on it not cheddar cheese and the ground beef was tasteless! No need to describe the other food , it just was not writing home about it.
The best part of our day in this cute town was the Cosmo Space center and going to the underground salt mine!!

“High expectations but left disappointed...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

My husband and I heard such great things about this place from their ranking they bragged about on their commercial to locals recommending it. We even waited for them to open back up at 5pm. It wasn't worth the wait. We tried the buffet to be able to pick and choose - to have a variety to choose from. The entrees were dried out and did not have any flavor. The buffet area was very congested, right next to where waiters went to fill drinks. There was dust on the napkin holders - gross! The chips and salsa were highly recommended but the chips were extremely thick and felt like you were eating something greasy. Maybe they had an off day, maybe ordering from the menu would have been better but I would not go back - this is not good Mexican! I rather drive to Dodge City to eat at a mom and pop place or eat at a chain Mexican place.
