Just an overnighter while travelling across the U.S. Hays Kansas Comfort Inn was clean, comfortable and quiet. Service at the front desk was good, there might have been a new hire working because he had to have the other clerk give him a hand checking me in, but no big deal.

I thought the motel was clean and quiet and I didn't partake in any of the amenities, but from what I did see they are up to good standards. Inviting lobby and a small property amongst the hotel giants nearby.

Good location, close to eating and Walmart.

Very knowledgeable and polite staff. They were expecting large crowds as the weekend was approaching and manager had said no discounts would be offered. We are rewards customers for this chain and couldn't even use discounts or AAA discount. Price was OK even without the discount. As the hotel began to fill (we were on the computer and heard the desk dealing with more guests), the desk clerk was very polite in explaining their policy and offering rooms at their 'sister' hotel at that same exit.
Very comfortable room and nice pool. Wood panelling in the pool area gave it a rustic look.

We were in Hays for a wedding and stayed at the Comfort Inn there. Again we were not disappointed in the Comfort Inn chain. We were very pleased to find the air conditioning on high when we got to our room. It was comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a wide assortments of food, including eggs and sausage.

Read good reviews about this hotel. Then became disappointed. Our first room smelled terribly musty and had a decent sized puddle in the window sill. The desk clerk was friendly and willing to give us a new room. 45 minutes later we had one. It was clean, no musty smell. When we got in bed to read we could hear every footstep our neighbors upstairs made. The hotel has a small pool...just enough room for 5-6 kids to play in. Adults might enjoy the hot tub, but it was the same temp as the pool. We spent too much for this stay.
