They definitely have some of the best cheesecake around..as well as pies, scones, and their fruit bagels.. I hate the disgusting Volga German peasant food that is so prevalent in this town, but have been told by the locals theirs is very good.
Have had many Augustines cakes and each one is a work of art...They look fantastic and taste even better! The caramel apple pie I had at Christmas was the best ever! Had a hard time saving a sliver to take home for later.
I had to bring some of their yummy bierocks home to Topeka and put them in the freezer for later.
Along with all this delicious food, you get to interact with Chad & Holly...what more could one want from a bakery/restaurant??

If you want a cake to celebrate your special occasion, this is the place to call. Their scones are amazing--I am particularly fond of the apple cinnamon variety, but all of them are delicious.

I have only tried their scones, every flavor and they are absolutely addictive...wonderful.
This is your basic mom-and-pop bakery, coffee, and sandwich shop. It's open for breakfast and lunch only. I love the sample of local cooking available on Fridays--old-fashioned Volga German noodle and bean soup. Very tasty and very filling.
