We came here for lunch on a wet, blustery day in October so couldn't sit outside to enjoy the views of the Dordogne that other Tripadvisor reviewers had enthused about, and since the only table inside near the window was already booked, we had to settle for what we thought might be second best. We couldn't have been more wrong, what a lovely restaurant - and we made up for the lack of a view by indulging in some people watching instead. We chose to take the three course option and the wine by the glass, starting with the recommended white with our starter before moving onto the red with our main course. My pudding, a chocolatey creation with macaroon and ice cream was probably one of the best I have ever tasted. My boyfriend still remembers the look on my face as I savoured each mouthful. Although on this occasion we were driving through this part of the region en route back to Honfleur, having spent a week in the Dordogne, we discovered that we could just visit Sarlat again by flying to a local airport in Brives. Both the town and this restaurant are definitely worth another visit.
