“Could Do Better in Emporia, KS”

Every year, my family and I stay at the Best Western Hospitality House in Emporia Kansas. It has been the favorite place to stay when visiting family (thats the only thing to do in Kansas).

Problems with the hotel:

I called in July sometime to book a room and was given the quote of $64.70. When we arrived I was quoted for $84. (Bait and Switch) Once I made note of this they finally switched the rate back.

No "Do Not Disturb" flags so Housekeeping woke us up every morning asking to do our room.

Lots of flies in the room and there was dirt in the bath tub when we got there (as pictured). We were to tired after working/driving all day to even go request a new room.

Some lights in the rooms we rented were out and we had to program our remote control for the TVs.

Both pools and hot tubs were so cloudy we couldn't see our feet.

I gave it a sympathy vote of 2 stars because it has seen better days. For your money in Emporia Kansas you can do better.

  • Tips/Secrets: — Use the trip coupon books and stay at the Travelodge. It use to be a Ramada so its still nice. You'll save money too.
