“Great Hotel and good deal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2011

We stayed at Days Inn on our way to Colorado. Had never stayed at Days Inn, but reviews for this one were good so we tried it. It was wonderful. A newer building, clean, rooms and bed was good. Breakfast consisted of Biscuits and gravy, waffle, hard boiled eggss and other continental breakfast items. Very nice, helpful lady taking care of the food area. Price was around $65, great deal.

We had just stopped in the town before this one Hays ks...It was awful! So we got back on the road and headed toward our final destination when I saw the sun shining from I-70 west.. I though we had nothing to loose after also being stuck in the nastiest town I have ever seen! Pulled in and this place was amazing.. Like a ray of light!! Mrs. Marilyne W. helped us.. We have a big dog and a lot of places refused dogs or make you pay a crazy amount for them.,, But much to our surprise our dog was only $5 and the room was a great price as well!! Super clean and Mrs. Marilyne made my night just being as friendly and helpful as could be!! If i ever end up coming this way again all because of her and how nice this hotel is I will for sure stay again!!

We stopped here as many on our way to Colorado! So glad we did. From the friendly face that greeted us, to check out we were pleased!! Even liked the fact the front desk gal spelled out the word pool in front of our son, instead of just blurting it out. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. Only complaint, and just my own thing, the a/c was pretty loud when it kicked on and off, so I changed the setting on the fan to on from auto, and problem fixed. Only adding to this lucky find, is that there is a dairy queen across the street! If we find ourselves out that way again, we will be happy to use this hotel again!

We had reservations, since it was to be Friday night just five hours or so from Denver. What a nice place to stay! New, fresh, clean -- very friendly, helpful staff -- and even though the motel was FULL, the place was quiet. It's a great midpoint for us traveling from the KC area to the mountains.

We stopped on our way to Colorado Springs without reservations. Friendly staff....helpful with directions and mileage to our destination. Clean room, comfy bed, room smelled great, new hotel !
Breakfast was wonderful....waffles, rolls, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. . The staff in the breakfast area was friendly and everything was full and clean. Great AARP rate..mid $60.00 range.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back of the hotel ...truck stop across street.

We stayed one night here on our way to Colorado and we were very pleasantly surprised!!! Brand new, nice comfortable beds, tall ceilings, great shower, flat screen tv, wall controlled a/c, decent size pool and hot tub, and good breakfast. My only suggestion would be to offer some sort if protein for bfst (eggs, bacon, etc). Staff was friendly and prices very very reasonable compared to other hotels in Hays. I would recommend this and am planning to stay here again coming back from CO.

This is a very new property, much updated and more upscale than other Days Inns you might have stayed at. Cleanliness, room size, and condition were excellent. Breakfast was a self-service buffet that was above average for this kind of property. Staff were courteous and helpful without exception. An excellent value throughout. Definitely on our preferred list next time we're in the area and we would recommend to others without hesitation.
