When you first pull into the hotel you may wonder if you chose the right hotel at least I did. The check-in was very easy and the manager and desk clerk were very nice. Again the external appearance was not that great but as soon as I enterd my room everything changed. The rooms were beautiful with new pillow top king size bed and all the furniture was new and very nice. The flat screen HD TV was also nice. Walls were a little thin but the room comfort more than made up for the noise. Shower was new with a very good shower head. Don't overlook this hotel in Dodge City, KS, it is very nice.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights in the beginning of July. The hotel seemed adequate-it looked small, but clean and it had a pool and breakfast included. BUT I'm pretty sure I got bit by bed bugs here-no joke...still ITCHY!

My job requires me to stay away from home for weeks on end and I always look for chains like Super 8 , Days Inn, and hotels in that price range. This "Econolodge" was bought and was a "Days Inn" when I stayed there in November and December '09, about a week each time. My room was on the second floor of the building straight back from the office. The room was neat, clean, and adequate. I have no complaints other than the fact that the bed was bagged in some plastic type cover and caused me to alternately sweat and freeze until the last night when I finally removed it.

Road construction out front was off-putting, but when I learned rates at Best Western a block away were more than double these rates, I was inclined to deal with the construction.

Internet was out for a couple days, but Cox eventually showed up and fixed it. No problems with connection after that. Office staff helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Tried the restaurant (owned by one of the employees) once and they had decided to close early due to the weather and no customers, so Mickey D's down the street sufficed. The breakfast in the breakfast bar was fine. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, etc.

Got two rooms--one of the two had a do not disturb sign--called desk--said it was ok. Went on in--this was about 1:00 am--light on, neither bed made. Closed the door, called the desk again, and they brought me cards to another rooms. These two rooms together combined to have--bugs, hole in the bathroom ceiling which stuff dripped through, bunches of mold above the shower, blood on the wall, broken shower rod, broken curtain rod, and the ac threw sand in our suitcase. I would have rather slept in my car. Do not stay here.
