“Simply charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

A wonderful place to stay and enjoy the lovely countryside and hospitality. Liz and Steve are great hosts, they even took us out for the day to visit Dunster Castle. The house is very quaint with lots of original stone and wood beams and the English breakfast is awesome. We are so glad we chose to take a few days vacation away from London and could not have chosen a better place to stay

Room Tip: The Junior Suite on the top floor was spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable

Thanks for your lovely review. We had a great day out at Dunster and it was a pleasure to be able to share some fabulous British History with you.

My husband and I stayed from Monday 28th - Wednesday 30th October. Just stunning location and so so peaceful. Lovely rooms - bed extremely comfy, lovely bathroom too, fabulous.
Great breakfast each morning, we would definitely recommend a visit. We will be back, thanks both for such a lovely stay

Room Tip: We had room 4 with the lovely 4 poster bed

We're delighted you enjoyed your stay here and look forward to seeing you again - maybe in the Spring for those stunning Azaleas and Rhododendron at Knightshayes National Trust.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We chose it as it was within striking distance of my mother's house in the Blackdown Hills but now we would choose it again simply for being the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break. Everything, from the bed linen to the breakfasts was top quality and the owners were just lovely. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby but, at the same time, in a very beautiful and peaceful part of the countryside. Can't wait to go back!

The Old Dairy is set in the most perfect location with gorgeous views, Mike & Liz were so welcoming & gave us a guided tour of the rooms, gardens & outbuildings. The rooms have lovely clean lines & sumptuous bedding & we really did wish that we were there for more than one night. Breakfast was delicious.

We decided to break up our long journey to Cornwall with a stopover....as it was bank holiday all the hotels were booked so we decided to book a b&b. I was a little apprehensive as we got near The Old Dairy as I've never stayed in a b&b before & wasn't sure what to expect. However as soon as we pulled up, all my concerns vanished. Liz met us & after a tour of the rooms, we had tea & ice cream in their beautiful garden with absolutely stunning views. We had a new family room in the main house, the beds were all full size, with the cosiest duvets & bed linens. We had a delicious meal in the local pub, recommended & booked by Liz. The breakfast was the best cooked breakfast I have ever eaten, followed by fruit from their garden. The b&b was exactly as described on the internet, Liz & Steve were extremely good hosts, so we will definitely return if we are ever in the area. Wishing Liz & Steve every success for their b&b, thank you.

We and three other couples took over the Old Dairy for four nights. The rooms are absolutely stunning and separate to the main house. Nothing is too much trouble for Liz and Steve - the perfect hosts. We had dinner in the main dining room two evenings out of the four which was a lovely experience. It was my wife's birthday on our last day and Liz and Steve made it really special. Local pub 15 minutes walk away is very good.

I can only echo the sentiments expressed in the comments of the previous reviewers. Liz and Steve are to be congratulated on the standard of the accommodation, and for the obvious attention to detail. This is evident in both the rooms - excellently furnished and styled, the lovely gardens, and in the breakfast in the main house. Visitors tend to remember the small touches, and we particularly appreciated the umbrella and torch as we navigated our way back from the excellent local pub (recommended by Liz).
