My husband and I visited this lodge after the hussle and bussle of Kotu beach area. We were picked up by Marcel, the owner and a most charming host, and transferred by speed boat to the lodge which is on the north side of the river Gambia.
When we arrived we felt we had died and gone to heaven. We can't praise Marcel, Anthony and all the staff highly enough, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had 4 of the most delightful days/nights at this lodge and enjoyed every moment of it.
If you are looking for noisy nightlife then don't go here, it is pure peace and relaxation. They have all you need to try your hand at fishing and kayaks if you feel drawn to the water. The bird life is abundant and they will arrange any trips you would like to do.
The plunge pool is available, and they hope to have a new pool open later in the year.
We would agree with everything that Lynne, Laura and Lou9em has already written.
