“Family gathering”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

We had our family gathering for the holidays and we could not have had a better place to do so. We felt very welcome and very much at home. The rooms were incredible, clean and with plenty of amenities to enjoy. Enjoyed the bar afterwards and had a very delightful breakfast. Location was perfect for everyone coming in from different places. Staff very pleasant, kind and knowledgable.
Kids loved the pool, perfect for everyone.
Thank you for making the reunion a wonderful time. see you next year if not sooner.

Room Tip: All rooms are bigger than normal rooms which helps when you have children.

We have had at least four return extended stays during the past few years and each time the experience is more enjoyable. It is our home away from home; a place where we feel appreciated, comfortable and cared for. There is little I can add to my wife's comments other than to say that we have stayed at least 12 months and management and staff attention to detail is exemplary. The location is within walking distance for grocery shopping, restaurants, a large mall and accessibility to major highways. We have no hesitation in recommending Valley West Inn to you all.

Room Tip: Extended stay rooms are perfect for us.

Hotel was very out dated and dirty. When we got there, a guy was fumigating the room next door. I pulled away the comforter and a spider ran away. The hall ways were hot and smelled like urine. We received only two towels for the three of us staying there and one tiny bar of soap. The tv was old and had a terrible picture. Couldn't find HBO even after asking the lady at the front desk three times. I had to walk down to talk to her because the phones didn't work. Never worked the two nights we stayed there. The elevator was old and scary because it was so bumpy. Even after we used the elevator we had to walk up a flight of stairs. I would not recommend this place.

This hotel is old, run down, and generally dirty. The headboards are made of cheap foam, and in our room, there were dozens of holes poked in them. The blankets and towels were stained and the room was generally dirty. There are many other hotels in the area that offer much cleaner and more comfortable rooms at comparable prices.

Room was clean and will maintained, however, furnishings seemed very dated. No WiFi which in my mind is a big negative, there was a room down the hall that had computers for guest use. There is a restaurant and separate sports bar in the hotel and a large shopping center across the street. Located just off I-235.

Room Tip: If you can't walk steps ask for something on the ground level or near an elevator.

Let me preface this by saying the actual bedroom itself was shockingly clean and decent compared to the rest of the facility. The hallways are dirty and run down, with stained carpeting and dingy dirty walls. The elevator belongs in a horror movie. To get to our room, we had to travel down 3 long hallways that just kept leading to another door and another door and then a staircase (even though we were on the first floor) and then another door. The "breakfast" consisted of a case of hard, stale mini-cinammon rolls. None of the outer doors into the hotel seemed to be locked no matter how late or early. And we didn't even attempt the pool after smelling the pool area. Would not recommend to anyone.

Great Hotel with very reasonable rates. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were perfect..VERY CLEAN. Great location, near tons of restaurants (Joe's Crab Shack is my favorite) and the Jordan Creek Mall is only a couple minutes away. I travel often for work and very few hotels offer the convenience that Valley West Inn has. The hotel has a sports bar inside along a great pool for the kids and a great diner for food (fabulous breakfast, get the homemade green chili on your hashbrowns). You really don't even need to leave the hotel! Thanks for the great stay, I will be returning again very soon.
