We were in town visiting family and wanted to have a nice dinner. We had possibly the worst service I have ever experienced and although the food was fair, the waiter ruined ithe meal. We tried vegetable tortellini (good),chicken fried steak(came out cold, had sat so long the gravy had formed a skin on top), mahi mahi (great tasting but small portion and overpriced), kansas city strip (good), prime rib (good), and calamari(awful). The blue cheese dressing on the house salad was outstanding, though. I have to talk about the unbelievably bad service. We were a party of nine, so the tip was automatically put on the bill, making me wonder if that's the reason for lack of service. It was not busy at all. We ordered a $24 appetizer sampler platter. The waiter threw it in the middle of our big table and left. We had no plates or utensils, so we couldn't pass around the food as nobody had a plate or even a napkin to put it on. By the time we got someone to toss some silverware and a stack of plates on our table, the apps were cold. We were able to order promptly and the salads were delivered. When the salad plates were picked up we were told to be sure to keep our forks. I guess we should have known after how difficult it was to get one, that we sure weren't going to get a second fork! The food was delivered and we did have some issues and needs, but we never saw a server again. No check to see if food was ok. No more water. No more service. Done. For that, he recieved a 42 dollsr tip.

Our goal is to provide each and every guest a great dining experience. I believe we didn’t meet your expectations in this case and again I sincerely apologize for our team and more so on behalf of your server. It is truly our mission to provide exceptional service and food to each and every guest and I assure you the same goes for larger parties as well. We do add gratuity for parties of 8 or more but that in no way should affect your service (or lack of in this case). It would be my great pleasure to welcome you back to be our guest at Bev’s on the River so that we have the opportunity to provide you a wonderful dining experience.
