We met up with friends here last Sunday for a carvery lunch having pre-booked a few days before largely because it was a doggie-friendly pub and double checking this on the phone at the time of booking. The pub itself is nice enough, being situated right on a river bank and also has a huge beer garden at the rear with loads of seats and tables - all good so far. Our friends arrived first and found our reserved table in the restaurant section of the pub. We arrived with our dogs and were rather rudely told we couldn't sit in the restaurant part as we had dogs! We were unceremoniously put onto a table in the bar area with a half laid table and left to get on with it. The carvery itself was okay in quality with the meat portion being large and the roast spuds were lovely and crispy. The price was reasonable enough at £10.45 each but I have to say it wouldn't really be enough to pull us back anytime soon.
