Good luck getting a drink. Waiters are AWFUL. Cash only at the main bar? Really?? Pay-out percentage is AWFUL. Put NO booze in over priced drinks. Bars/waiters always understaffed. Rooms,drinks,poker rake, food, golf, all way too expensive. Points are worthless, same amount of gambling in the quad city's got me tons more benefits. Lost $500 playing caribiean stud one night, asked for a free buffet, took 30 minutes and they acted like they were giving away the farm and then they took it off my points. Place is a JOKE and getting worse. The place does look very nice, the rooms are nice, golf course is awesome.

A big thank you and thumbs up to all at this resort. Just returned from our 3rd visit to the TEE Tournament which is held here each September (started for blind/low vision vets, but now has other disabled vets, too). The staff bends over backward for the vets and it is so much appreciated. The accomodations are just great (love the glass shower), and while our stay was accompanied by food in the banquet room, we did do Crab Leg nite at Roberts ($16.99-not bad at all) and had a romantic dinner at Ruthie's (very nice steak, well priced wine list). Wish the pool was heated, but you can't have everything. This is a great place for a destination trip that is a bit different due to location. Also, it is nice to support a venue who treats our disabled vets to such a superb week. It's worth a trip from the midwest to support these folks (only 4 hrs from Chicago, people!) PS-video blackjack for ten cents' a hand, too - my speed!

Beautiful golf course. We had a gorgeous room (better than some in Vegas). Gambled a bit but never saw anyone win a boatload of money. Different food every night. We had crab legs on Wednesday but I wouldn't have paid that price (had free meals). Smoking is permitted in casinos in Iowa so I smelled like cigarettes all night. Our room and bed linens did too. That was my only real complaint.

The Riverside Casino and Resort was truly a nice surprise. The decor is very modern and contemporary in the entire place. We stayed one weekday afternoon and night. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities. The resort had a nice smaller upscale boutique and a beautiful relaxing pool area. Part of the pool is indoors for inclement weather. The resort included a Spa which looked nice as well. I did not use the Spa. Casino area was large and "Las Vegas" style. The golf course looked very nice as well, although we did not golf. We ate at ruthie's restaurant, the upscale dining choice in the resort. Excellent food and great service. The room decor was VERY unique in that it had electric drapes and an automatic curtain covering a totally expansive glass shower in the bathroom. VERY different.
