Beautiful golf course. We had a gorgeous room (better than some in Vegas). Gambled a bit but never saw anyone win a boatload of money. Different food every night. We had crab legs on Wednesday but I wouldn't have paid that price (had free meals). Smoking is permitted in casinos in Iowa so I smelled like cigarettes all night. Our room and bed linens did too. That was my only real complaint.

The Riverside Casino and Resort was truly a nice surprise. The decor is very modern and contemporary in the entire place. We stayed one weekday afternoon and night. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities. The resort had a nice smaller upscale boutique and a beautiful relaxing pool area. Part of the pool is indoors for inclement weather. The resort included a Spa which looked nice as well. I did not use the Spa. Casino area was large and "Las Vegas" style. The golf course looked very nice as well, although we did not golf. We ate at ruthie's restaurant, the upscale dining choice in the resort. Excellent food and great service. The room decor was VERY unique in that it had electric drapes and an automatic curtain covering a totally expansive glass shower in the bathroom. VERY different.

nice golf cource, ok but very expendcive hotel, I traveled to this hotel on a whim to see it, the food was very expendcive for the quality . and the location is 20 miles from Iowa City, IA in no where land.
I believe this is why it,s so weak, it has no competition thus no reason to improve. the place was nearly empty. I was literaly the only one gambing in the main casino during the day.The staff was incredibly rude, I reported a dice dealer for cheating and was treated even more poorly. I have never been back.

My husband and I along with his business associates stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night. We thought that it would be noisy, because of the college students that were partying down the hall, but it was great. The rooms are gorgeous and the bathroom is very interesting --- huge glass window with a automatic curtain to open and close. We ate at the Robert's Buffet, which we have often, and it had a nice selection of food. Would stay again at the hotel.
